Wow, I am impressed! The kids have been wanting sushi lately so we stopped in tonight and everything was incredible! Hiro was so friendly and welcoming, answering our questions about different rolls and we had a great conversation with her. Everything tasted fresh and the presentation was very nice. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a great evening Hiro.

This hidden gem reminds me of the small pubs in Japan. The food was delicious. Please call to make a reservation ahead of time.

A hidden gem that beautifully blends authentic Japanese sushi with dreamy desserts!
La HIRO instantly charmed me with its cozy and peaceful vibe—soft lighting, minimalist decor, and touches of Japanese art that set a calming tone. The food? Truly memorable.
🍣 The sushi and sashimi were top-tier—fresh, thick-cut, and beautifully plated. The grilled unagi was rich, flavorful, and drizzled with just the right amount of sweet soy glaze.
🍰 The matcha cake blew me away—light, airy, and not overly sweet, with hints of red bean layered in. A perfect pairing with their fresh-brewed green tea.
🍶 We also enjoyed a lovely sake and tea service that added to the relaxed, refined experience.
Service was warm, genuine, and unrushed—exactly what you’d want in a place like this. Bonus points for their cake fridge—it’s hard to resist taking a slice or two to go!
If you’re craving sushi and sweets in one spot (and done right), La HIRO is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back.

I’ve been there once for take out. The waitress was rude. She looked unhappy because we have two babies and we took them into the restaurant.( I am not sure)
I went there again two days ago because my friend he is grow up in Japan and he loves Japanese food. He made a reservation before we were there. Me and my two babies arrived there earlier than my husband and our friend. When I got in the store, the woman waitress was unhappy face again and she told me they have another 3 customers. ( no one in the restaurant when I arrived.) I have no idea why she told me that ? And I told her we had reservation, she sighted and said we don’t have high chairs.
Every time she came to serve us, she had poke face. But when other customers came, she smiled to everyone. I have no idea anything I did was wrong and why she treat us so bad. It was the worst experience in my life. And I won’t visit there again.
Same as other customers said, I thought she doesn’t like Asian except for Japanese. ( Because when our friend spoke Japanese to her, she looks happier than talked to us, her face grew gray pretty fast)
The food not bad , but not deserve to spent anytime there. There are some Japanese restaurants around this area better than this one.
I love this place and the owners are amazing and sweet!

Food was ok for me but my wife loves it. The waitress is extremely rude especially if you’re asian. She was shaking her head and rolling her eyes on me when I didn’t understand her thick accent. She is an asian herself but seems like she is only nice to non-asian customers.

This place is top tier! While it is unusual to have to have a reservation to dine in. After dining in, I totally love that they do that!
By doing reservation only they're able to maintain a quiet and calm environment inside and are better able to concentrate on providing amazing service and producing delicious food!
The curry was mouth watering! The ramen was so full of flavor! The sushi was so fresh, the cake was so perfect and light!
Our server was so nice and dedicated to making our experience pleasant, she even boxed up my left overs for me and was constantly clearing our table off when we finished each course and making sure our cups were always full!
Now let's talk about the best thing... the prices!
We got miso soup, sushi, curry, ramen, and 2 pieces of cake- altogether it was around 45 dollars!
Typically my bill for 2 at other places is around 60-70!
We will definetly return!

Such a charming little Japanese restaurant! The lady serving us was very sweet, and the food was delicious. Definitely the closest we've come to feeling like we're back in Japan!I unfortunately forgot to take pictures of our entrees, but we got two of the weekly specials, the tonkatsu curry and the bento w/ sushi and tempura.
