I’ve been meaning to try this place for quite some time now, especially since it’s in the same strip mall that my favorite liquor store (Star Liquors) is in, and finally made it there tonight. So many good things to choose from, but my wife and I went for our favorite Mexican choices: birria and fish tacos, and birria quesadillas with a side of rice and beans and some chips and guacamole. The chips were fresh out of the fryer and could have used a hit of salt but the guac was delicious, as was the birria taco, the fish (cod) taco, the birria quesadilla, and the rice and beans. Definitely worth a repeat trip where might might actually deviate away from our trusted favorites and try something new.

The tacos from here taste great but I specifically asked in the order notes for vegetarian tacos to be separated from meat tacos and this was not done despite being clearly printed on the receipt. They were directly next to my friend's tacos containing meat. This is my personal preference but disappointed that my request was ignored despite paying $40 for 7 tacos.

The location is not the greatest, prices are pretty high compared to most Mexican food restaurants so it would depend on what your looking for as far as atmosphere

La Torta Loca is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I prefer the Tropicana Torta. For takeout, I recommend asking for no aluminum foil because sometimes scraps of it are hard to get off the food.

Bring your appetite. You get a lot of food when you order a torta! Absolutely delicious and def recommended. We tried the paballon arepa and each had a Torta ♡

Really good food, just a tad greasy We ordered the guacamole and chips. But when it came out, it had fried pork rinds. We don't eat pork, so it was a waste of food. When my hubby said 'we want to try the guacamole and chips' the waitress said something to him and he just nodded. We realized later that she must have asked about plain or with the rinds. When we told her that we don't eat pork, she just said that's the way you ordered it. There was no offer to take it off the ticket, but it was hubbys mistake. He should have asked her to repeat her self, he just thought she was asking if that was all. We ordered one item from each category, they were all hood. The sauces were excellent. 4.5 stars,

La Torta Loca is my favorite restaurant when I come to visit family in the area. I love the variety and authentic cuisine. The atmosphere is unique and charming. Highly recommend.

On our travels from Nashville to Pittsburgh we found this incredible spot! If you like authentic Mexican with a twist, this is your spot. Well decorated and entertaining spot. Ramen was huge! Portions were great all around. Lots of lucha wrestling memorabilia all around the bar. Definitely recommend this spot to anyone.
