I had high hopes, but alas they were dashed. Food was *fine* - and at these prices, fine is not a good thing. Avoid the oysters. They were small as hell for $3 a piece…
My father had the ‘fall off the bone’ ribs and they were chewy and full of cartilage. He mentioned it, I don’t think it was removed from the bill. (Which is should have been).
Place was loud too - granted it was a Friday night, but our table of 6 felt like we were screaming at each other.
For the money I think you’d have better luck elsewhere.

Food was fantastic. Are waitress was super helpful and very welcoming. The busser stayed on top of the dishes. The one bathroom is pink and super cool to take pictures in. Overall made for a wonderful date night. The only thing that gave atmosphere of four-star was some of the people were extremely loud but that has nothing to do with the restaurant experience. There is valet parking available if you have valet money.

My wife and I had dinner last night at the bar. The atmosphere is electric. What an old school restaurant celebrating 83 years of existence. Now to the food. She and I split a full rack of traditional ribs, potatoes, salad, and I had to get a side of fried chicken livers. How delicious. The cocktails are perfect. Very reasonable pricing. Now to our favorite bartenders Courtney and Michelle. Do they take care of you!!! Had the pleasure as always for Stefanie manager and Donny proprietor of Walt’s to stop by and chat. You have to try this place

This was my first time dining here, and unfortunately the food did not live up to the hype. While the staff was friendly, they were not very attentive. The drinks were decent, but the food itself was a letdown. The bone in ribeye, which was upgraded to Oscar style and marketed as a signature dish, lacked any flavor other than the charred residue from the grill. The lobster mac and cheese was runny and bland, and overall everything felt under seasoned . It was as if the kitchen forgot the most basic elements of cooking, namely salt and pepper.
Friends had spoken very highly of this place, but for the price point it fell far short of expectations. In all honesty, my money would have been better spent at Outback or Texas Roadhouse. This experience did not leave me wanting to return, and for what they charge, they really need to do better.

The food is excellent and they have a very good variety beyond just steaks. The portions are absolutely huge and I left with enough for probably two more meals. My one suggestion to improve the food would be to cut the onions in the French onion soup into smaller pieces, which would make eating it much easier. Our server, Dan was very attentive. It is a very neat building, but it is dark and can be loud. If you go here, you will need a reservation, as they were packed.

Very disappointed. We have been coming to walts for years and it has definitely gone down hill. It was so hot in the restaurant which made it uncomfortable and hard to enjoy. The steak was overcooked and tough. Then the crème brûlée was so disgusting I couldn’t even eat it.. chunky and no caramelization. Mojitos were flat and flavorless. I had noted on our reservation we were celebrating a birthday and no mention of it ever happened.. spent a pretty penny on cocktails, food, and dessert just to be underwhelmed. Good thing is that our server was sweet, I can’t remember her name but she was very friendly. So sad, we used to love it here!

My salad had a large black hair and when I told the waiter, he brought another salad with another hair in it. I lost my appetite. Terrible service, mid food. I‘ve made better Kroger steaks than this

I come here often, always sit at the bar and almost always get the same filet (2 4 oz filets). Ordered them medium rare, they came out almost completely raw in the center. The atmosphere is so dark you couldn't really tell at first but after a couple bites you almost couldn't even cut the steak. On top of it being valentines day and i know they were busy... we requested the steak to be a little more done... maybe 2 minutes passed we got the steak back completely nuked (100 percent microwaved) no pink to it whatsoever. Piping hott!! I honestly love this place my family has been coming here for a very long time! Its sucks because me and my fiancé barely get away from the kids and we love it here and it was a total let down on Valentines Day!
