Changing from 5 star to 1 star. This place has gone downhill. They seemingly don't answer the phone anymore. If you go in and try to order, the old grey haired guy behind the counter acts like he wants to punch you. When you do finally jump through the ordering hoops and wait FOREVER for a pizza, it's mediocre and has a weird dirty taste. It use to be good :/ went from a weekly customer to being done with it completely.

Staff are quite dull, as is the atmosphere. It seems as if it's a shell of a once lively place, which highlights it's potential but falls flat as it's uncomfortably quiet and damp (musty). In my experience the staff are rude. Everything about this place feels like they want you to change your mind and leave. We were allowed to order, but they said take out only... as two people sat across from us, dining in. Maybe they dislike children. The pizza is alright, but they take their time- and it's not like they're busy.

We were passing through Frankfort and found this little gem. I was skeptical about getting pizza in KY but wow that was put to rest after one bite. The crust is perfect. Thin with a great chew. Sauce is great and ample amounts of cheese and toppings. Best pizza I’ve had west of NJ / Delaware! The service super friendly. It was a delightful experience

The woman working there was great. The pizza was good. She spilled a little bit of my beer... maybe a tablespoon or less. Before I could tease her about it, she offered to give me another. I thought she was kidding. During the meal, I finished my beer and gor up to go to the restroom. When I came back, there was a new beer waiting for me. Excellent staff there and the pizza is good. Nice hand tossed crust with good chew.

Pizza was fantastic,,, really!!! But the lady who waited on us was very rude & disrespectful,con concerning a order request/comment, and proceeded to slam metal chairs behind us, shocking, I think so we would leave so she could clean,,even though we had not finished eating & it was not yet the posted closing time .
Buddy’s pizza is a highlight of any trip to Frankfort. The pizza is delicious, they accommodate gf and vegan options easily and without judgement. The staff is friendly and always have great suggestions of things to do locally. I can’t wait until our next meal there.

In a town that is being over gentrified, this is one of the staples of downtown Frankfort. Chef Mike makes the best pizza in Frankfort hands down, but if you're lucky get one of his specials, the lasagnas or gumbo are worth stopping in for!

Rude to use upon entering. I paid and left. I left an appropriate tip and the owner posted about me like I was a criminal for not tipping on take out food… one dude took 4 hours to serve 3 pizzas. Why would that old man get a tip? Yuck.
