My tour guide was Faaris and he was amazing! I've been on a few distillery tours, and no one has made the history of the place come alive like Faaris did. The sunken garden was pretty even though I visited at the end of fall/beginning of winter. The whiskey had a bite to it, and the bourbon was very smooth. I bought the bourbon as well as the hot toddy mixture (which I haven't tried yet). I like that there were some cocktail syrups as well as the spirits.
Had a wonderful visit and tour just ahead of Thanksgiving! Molly was our tour guide and did an amazing job! We were one of, if not her last, tour before she left to pursue her career **CONGRATS!!** - her absence will be noticed! The grounds are beautiful, and I can't wait to continue visiting to see the rebirth and revitalization of the rest of the property!!
Nice grounds. Taylor did a good job at building his castle. Great tasting bar next to the creek.
Going to start with, I've been on many distillery tours in my 50+ years at both large famous distilleries and small single barrel locations and including a previous tour at Castle & Key, but this day as a Key Collective member was the best I've ever had. It started with Kaylee Payton who accommodated my family group of 8. She provided a personal touch of unmatched Kentucky hospitality, both for whiskey thieving and behind the scenes at your awe inspiring distillery. Then Miles gave us a tour performance of both historical and theatrical brilliance! You have set the top of the bar that I will forever use to benchmark all others below. Thank you!
A great property and really enjoyed both our tour guide and the spirits.
We stopped at Castle and Key in our bourbon trial tour. The grounds were so cool with all of the old building and being right on the river. We did bro do a tour but I wish that we would have. We checked out the bar and the gift shop. They had good tastings and some distillery only bottles. It was so nice to relax and enjoy a drink sitting by the river.
Elegant and beautiful distillery grounds and facilities. The tasting tour was a delight and very educational. Make sure to include this Distillery in your plans when visiting Bourbon county in Kentucky.
The distillery grounds, history and staff, along with the spirits was fantastic! It’s a must add stop for any Bourbon Trail trip!
Sept. 4th. This was not a planned tour or visit, but after reading the Buffalo, Barrels, & Bourbon we had to visit. Beautiful distillery and historic. E.H. Taylor create an unbelievable place. Thank you to the young lady who took us to the gardens.
Excellent tour and such an interesting history of this property. The drinks were fantastic. Well worth the visit.

Incredible property and tour, full of history and amazing bourbon.
It's a little more than the average tour/tasting on atmosphere alone. The grounds are breathtaking with unique architecture and a welcoming feel. Sipping cocktails in a Greek inspired pavilion, touring through a castle and gardens, tastings in a rick-house/bunker, shopping in the shadow of historical coal fired boilers. You'd think you've left Kentucky if it weren't for the bourbon.
A beautiful location and an amazing history!
A great place to learn more about the history of bourbon, enjoy a cocktail and walk the grounds of this historic site.
Very nice place, also can set down and eat and the bourbon is also good
