I parked at Gibby’s but the restaurant was locked. We pulled on the doors. It’s takeaway only (though no one came when we tried to get in so…) Being a tourist, I had no home to take food to. We went to Buddy’s Pizza, the building on other side of parking lot. Very nice people! Came out and my car was towed. There’s a sign on the dumpster — because every hungry person goes to the far end of the lot to hang out and read the dumpster, right? Yes, I was at fault. I did try to patronize Gibby’s, however, which is why I parked in one of its numerous empty slots. Towing is expensive, only takes cash, and is not walkable. The Uber was going to be a 2 hour wait, and no Lyft listed. We were told taxis are unreliable, but the Bluegrass Taxi service was quick, kind, and reasonable. Beware!

I ordered the family hot brown recently to serve to company that was in town. It was delicious and easy. We were able to relax and visit while it baked in my oven at home! Thanks to Gibby and staff for making our dinner and evening amazing ?

Tried to take my friend from out of town to eat at this restaurant-Tried to order online and it wasn’t working then called and they didn’t answer, we decided to go across the street and get a frappe and come back after while for the Apple Waldorf salad. My friend was standing and said it looks like my car has been towed, I walked up to the parking lot which was just right where we were and her car was gone. We had no idea what happened because we were planning on eating there and did not think it was any big deal to walk across the street and get a frappe. My friend called for two hours trying to figure out where her car was and no one answered the phone. The number they have on their towing signs was a different tow company. It’s just awful my friend came all the way from Ashland Kentucky, toured Stewart home school for her 2 special needs kids and was excited about getting a good meal then to find out she had to pay $260 to get her car back. There was no compassion or understanding about anything with this owner-Would never recommend to anyone

Gibby's never fails ! I've never had anything that wasn't great. One of the best Reuben sandwiches around.

I’m from out of town visiting a friend, and we decided to go to Frankfort to try Gibby’s. It took about 25-30 minutes. We basically spent $20 (and left a 20% tip before service) for a couple sandwiches that a 5 year old could make. The bread was generic white un-toasted, there wasn’t much actually ON the sandwich, and the cheese was shredded, which was weird. They forgot our fries and we had to call them back for them to bring them out (which really isn’t a big deal, but is just another detail adding to being an overall disappointing experience.) The fries were seasoned alright, but cold. We finished eating in our vehicle, and my friend called asking if she could have a refill. (To be fair it was pretty much all ice and no liquid) They said “Ooh we couldn’t really do that” and it would be $1.80. So, in summary, it wasn’t bad, per se, but simply cheap and, like, not special in any way.

We ordered a couple sandwiches and they weren’t worth the cost. Small portions and no refills either. They also forgot the fries, and they ended up not tasting fresh, either.

I have eaten her multiple times in the past but no more someone I know apparently park there today and got towed even though they don't let people eat in right now. very unprofessional. And I'm going to let as many people know
Gibbys has always been my favorite place to eat in Frankfort. I even worked there a summer during college. I’ve never been disappointed by a meal at Gibbys. It’s always super flavorful, big portions, hot and fresh. In my opinion it is the place to go in Frankfort.

Ive lived in Frankfort for 13 yrs and purchased many lunch and dinners here. Never again. After getting my car towed during lunch for $265 because i dared to park at one of 16 empty spots in their lot. I did eat at buddys..you should be ashamed of yourself!! Talk about the Christmas spirit.

Passing through town , was directed here to try, doors locked, signs all over the place describing how you can get food, but no menus. Offering to rent space and catering,Please call for curbside delivery? We and another group of people tried, no luck.I would have to assume they don't want restaurant business, or they are closed to the public.Moving on to a wide range of other places a block away that are open and inviting.

This is a renovated train station in downtown Versailles that stands out amongst the town. The food was great southern fare including a delicious hot brown and shrimp & grits. The prices were fair and it was busy so you know it’s a good spot for the locals as well as visitors. One of the best places we visited during our weekend trip to see Kentucky.
