Kentucky Coffeetree Cafe

Was visiting the area for a concert and having rotten luck with restaurants. This was the only place I got to go that I really enjoyed. Very cozy, unpretentious atmosphere with friendly staff. Food and coffee were very good. If I lived here I'm sure I'd come all the time and spend way too much on books nextdoor at Poor Richard's

The cashier “seemed” angry.

The problem was the place was filthy. Crumbs on the table, all over the floor with other trash. I was going to be generous with three stars but when my husband explained how the bathrooms were, I dropped it to the two. The bathrooms were disgusting and I don’t mean dirty, I mean they were nasty.

The food case had flies all over the muffins and baked goods.

I dropped it down once more to a one-star when we left because as we were leaving, we were friendly enough to tell the barista thank you despite the poor attitude and we got a “yeah” in a tone that said - don’t talk to me.

Once cleaned up and in a better attitude, I bet the place is rather nice. Working in a service career is hard but if dealing with people is that hard, then perhaps find another career.

As for the iced mochas, it was pure ice. There was barely any coffee in it. We got maybe six sips in and the ice filled the entire cup.

Very nice place to have a great cup of coffee and a great breakfast sandwich! Do yourself a favor and sit outside and enjoy the views of historic downtown Frankfort!

Espresso machine didn’t produce proper espressos. Food is all microwaved and then served. Go to Engine to get coffee.

I’ve stopped here a few times every time I’m in Kentucky and love this cafe! The coffee is good with lots of options and flavours and the food is delicious!

Oh man, this place pretty cute, tiny little place but the food and drinks were amazing. Customer service was pretty good but I think they could have a better system to streamline the food and drinks out to the customers. Other than it was really good, if you want to play a board game, go right ahead, you might not find the pieces to some of them but you could also bring your own. The book store was right next door and there was a door on the inside of the coffee shop that led you right into the bookstore.

Cute place to sit and have a coffee snack breakfast. They were friendly overall. Service a little slow but it was busy on Saturday morning. Food was ok. We had a blueberry muffin and a sandwich. We tried the iced coffee and it was ok. Pricing was decent compared what we have been charged in the area for food.

It's always wonderful no matter what time of year you come and the staff is always so nice. I've been coming for years and it was one of the very first places I visited with friends here in Frankfort. 10/10 every single time

The cold brew with coconut cold foam was excellent! We also had a lemon cranberry muffin, which my husband loved, but I didn't like.
