I come for lunch a few times a month through the drive-thru and they are just the friendliest people ever and the food is always wonderful :)

The brisket and baked beans were good. I really like the Mac n cheese. The lady that took order was really nice and made great suggestions. Will go back when I return ❤️
Fantastic BBQ! Friendly staff! Fast service. Delicious food. Large portions! We will definitely be back when traveling through Frankfort.

In town on business, I stopped by for lunch and got a pulled pork sandwich and baked beans. Food was good. Not the best BBQ I have ever had but far from being the worst. Service was great and the establishment was clean. Will come back if ever in the area again.

This place was awful! The food was not good at all. The good part of the food was the fried sweet potato fries. The barbecue was tough, dry, and, discusting. We didn't even let our dog eat the left overs.

Read all the reviews about the catfish so I had to try for myself. Reviews are justified, catfish was excellent! Good service, I will go again.

Okay, guys & dolls, I've reached my saturation point with this establishment. Went through the drive-through on 12-13 and order a half rack of ribs. First, however, I asked the person working the drive-through how the ribs were that evening. I was assured they were "fresh." The reason I asked is because on SEVERAL occasions after I have gotten home, the orders have been inedible. Smoked chicken wings that look like they were cooked a week ago, and drier than a $2 steak. I live about 10 miles from this establishment and they are certainly not cheap on their prices. When I got home and opened the container tonight, what did I find? Ribs burnt to a crisp and drier than a popcorn fart. I called to complain and the manager tried to tell me how great those ribs were. Then he got attitude. NEVER AGAIN. I warn anyone who dines there (or gets an order to go) to check their food before you leave. If you like dried-out garbage, this is your place.

Carolina Tuang sauce is a must! Highly recommend pulled pork. The sides are the highlight with the potato salad and sweet potato’s fries. Unfortunately, avoid the brisket.
Food was dryer than kindle wood. Sauce is putrid. Better food in jail

While on a bourbon trail tour with Central Kentucky Tours, our driver, Daryl, stopped at Staxx for us to eat lunch in between distilleries. Tina waited on our party of 6 and delivered SO MUCH FOOD on a tray that we stared in amazement. We got brisket combos, sweet potato fries with cinnamon butter, pulled pork sandwich combos, meat platters with brisket and sausage, baked beans, corn bread, mac n cheese, cole slaw, Texas Toast, ribs and wings and sodas. SO MUCH FOOD! It all was delicious. Daryl warned that the servings were gigantic, and he suggested getting the slider size, but we went all out and ordered the "American" size. Our tab ran about $100 for 6 full size platter combos and drinks. We are from Oklahoma and Texas and are BBQ snobs. Staxx does BBQ right. Huge portions, tender and juicy meats, and excellent service.

A worker at Buffalo Trace recommended this place for barbecue. It's actually a fast food restaurant with inedibly dry pulled chicken and rubbery brisket. Avoid, my friend, avoid.
