Burgers should be made to order and be made upfront and stored in a bin for faster service freshness beast fast all the time, otherwise all was ok.

Great prices, burgers are good, drinks taste good, bathrooms are dirty and smell very bad all the time, customers do not know how to properly use a restroom at any place these days, employees are always keeping busy when i see them, seating area is clean,not a fan of the lettuce used on the burgers.

Went through drive thru. I asked to add items to my sandwich not to just put the items I asked to be added. Called the restaurant and the phone rang for 10 minutes. I guess there isn't a manager there or they don't want to deal with customers after they have paid and left. How else do you tell them they messed up the order. I guess they don't give a damn.

Love me some steak and shake. However seems every burger I get is soaked with grease which turns the meal a waste for me. Grabbing wet bread will kill an appetite. Absolutely love the shoe string fries and shakes.

I won't be back to Steak 'n Shake. Everything is self service but they still ask you to leave a tip. Now they are making you scan a QR code to get your drinks, but they don't explain the system when you order. The menu is so trimmed down that it's just not worth it. Go to Sonic or McDonald's even. Steer clear of this once great fast food place.

Stopped here for lunch, spent $12 + tip for a combo and a bottle water. The guy hands me a delicious hamburger, cold hard french fries and a bottle of water that had been crushed with 1/3 of the water missing and the label falling off. When I asked him if I could have a different bottle of water, he “initially” responded that it was the last bottle of water. I refused the damaged 2/3 full bottle of water and asked for a cup instead to get a soda. He then responded that he could get me another bottle of water but that he’d have to go ALL THE WAY BACK to the cooler to open a new case of water just to get one bottle. I wonder if white customers are met with this same level of poor service.
