This is quintessential college pizza place. Several TV's and a bar. Family friendly. Not the best service when we first arrived by the host, but our server was great. Friendly and clean. We tried the pizza rolls and cheese fries for appetizers. Both were ok. We've had better and worse. We ordered a large Hammer pizza. It was good. Crust is thinner and slices are large. Also okay. We've had better and worse. We will not go out of our way to eat here, but if we were in the area, it would be an option.

Parking lot is small and not the easiest to get in and out of because it is close to an intersection and there's not much center lane to use.

There is some outdoor seating. It looks well kept but could use some deep cleaning - nasty dusty vents, kitchen staff wearing hairnets that don't fully cover their hair.

Dietary restrictions: Cauliflower crust is available

Parking: Parking was available for lunch on a Saturday.

Kid-friendliness: Server was good with kids.

We arrived at Fat Kats Pizza around 6:30 pm with three kids. Although the restaurant was full inside, we were fine sitting outside since it was around 70 degrees. We placed our order and expected a quick meal. What followed was an absolute nightmare.

At first, everything was okay. But as 20 minutes turned into 30, then 40, the temperature started dropping. By the time we hit an hour of waiting, it was getting cold, and my kids were starting to shiver. No one even bothered to check on us or offer to move us inside—that is, until another family sitting outside was asked if they’d like to move in due to the cold. I had to speak up myself to request the same, despite the fact that my kids were wrapped in blankets from our car because they were freezing.

When we were finally moved inside, they crammed five of us into a tiny booth and we continued waiting. By the hour and a half mark, I saw our pizza come to the window… and then watched in disbelief as the “cook” used his bare hands to pick things off our pizza. When I asked the waitress about it, she casually responded, “Yes, it was just basil.”

Just basil? Completely unacceptable! At that point, I told them we wanted to leave, and they still charged us for drinks and a side salad without any real apology or acknowledgment of how terrible this experience was.

What started as a tolerable evening became one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. Do yourself a favor and avoid Fat Kats Pizza—they clearly don’t care about their customers, especially families with young children.

Terrible service. Waited 45 minutes for people that came in a half hour after us to get their food first right in front of us and then another 15 minutes to get ours. Although they gave us a small nominal service discount no apology. The whole experience was terrible. Would not recommend.

Good pizza and service, booths are a little small, it's not outdated atmosphere, but feels like stepping back into the 90s.

We have eaten at this establishment a few times. This evening was the nicest waiter I am unable to remember his name but it started with a J. We tried the New New Yorker and from someone originally from Long Island NY, I am so excited to say you nailed it. We added mushrooms and bacon because us east coasters have to have a topping. Thank you for such a wonderful night. You are in our minds not the second beat in the mid west. You are the best. Oh and the garlic cheese bread with bacon is Devine.

Tried this when going a on trip. Read great reviews...customer service was great but pizza was VERY bland it didn't have much flavor at all. The twisty bread sticks were fairly good though
