“Was a great experience for 1st time celebrating our Anniversary.. Food was great, drinks very refreshing, but what made this the best experience ever was our server Nikki.. She was AMAZING!!! Had the best personality, knowledgeable on dishes and drinks, very attentive, and just hands down best server I’ve had in years!!”

“We were lucky to visit during their 12th anniversary week. We took the tour which was offered at 6pm on a Saturday. We were provided a token for a beer on the tour and a second token for a beer afterwards. They had a limited menu for the anniversary week, but the choices were great. I had catfish and fries and my son had a pepperoni flatbread pizza. We try the a porter, the Cougar Bait and the 14.5% anniversary beer. All of them were great. Next time we are visiting Georgetown, this will definitely be a stop.”

“We had the nicest evening at The Brown Barrel tonight! The food was amazing and the service was stellar! I highly recommend the Keeneland Breeze bourbon cocktail to start. Nice and smooth!! Our salads were so fresh and ice cold. The Atlantic salmon served over butternut squash was perfectly prepared. We finished with the bourbon pecan pie which was delightfully delicious. Our waitress, Billie Jean was the best part of our experience at the Brown Barrel. She has the cutest personality and we so enjoyed our lively conversations. I would certainly recommend this gem of a restaurant for a great meal and impeccable service. Don’t forget to ask for Billie Jean!”

I had the garlic tonkatsu and the crab rangoons, both were just perfect. If you like ramen, this is def a spot you should try!”

“We stopped in to try it out. Spent $80 on breakfast, coffee, and pastries. Ate the breakfast in the cafe and took pastries to go. Unfortunately the pastries we ordered were all in one box and not separated out so they all kinda fell apart and was hard to eat. I just wish they were able to package everything a bit better so the $40 i spent on pastries and goodies didn't get just get all mashed up.”

“I went into Hoggy's for the first time and had a beautiful experience with one of the cashiers. luckily I was able to get her name and she spelled it out for me and her name is Mekhiya. She was wonderful and very helpful. I had a food allergy and when I told her she immediately changed and washed her hands and changed her gloves and also sanitized the areas and changed the scoop as well to prevent cross contamination. Will definitely comeback.”

“This is the best tropical smoothie I’ve ever been some I’ve been coming here every week for almost a year now and have never had a bad experience. I have been to many other locations many times and have had very mixed experiences with my order being messed up a lot but this location in Georgetown has never messed anything up and is so fast with my order and when I walk in there greet meet by my name and are so friendly and polite. If every tropical smoothie ran like this one they would make more money. The people are this location all need a big raise”

Kid-friendliness: They had crayons and color sheets for my little + a great high chair. They offered a small plate to share with my toddler + provided her with a toddler water!”

“Probably one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had. My food could not have been taken care of worse. I ordered a 16 oz. sirloin cooked medium, and was brought a well done steak. Not really a big deal, it happens. They returned the steak and a manager brought me out another one. I cut through it and it looked better and told the manager it was alright. The more I cut through it, the more I was able to tell that it was just as well done as the first steak. I let my waitress know (who was very kind and very helpful and genuinely felt sorry) and had her return it and not worry about bringing me another one. The manager returned to tell me that “since the first steak was returned half eaten, I can discount your bill”. The steak was not half eaten. I returned both steaks almost completely untouched and maybe tried 1-2 bites of each to see if it was okay to eat, so I wasn’t really sure where she got that I had eaten half of the first steak. Again, the waitress we had, who I think was a blonde lady named Bobbie (I could be wrong with that name) was very kind and felt sorry, but the manager I dealt with felt like she was very irritated to have to deal with me having 2 wrongly cooked steaks. She took off the price of the steaks off my bill, but still made me pay for my soda. No apology and nothing to make up for me sitting in there for over an hour and not getting any dinner. I guess the manager just wasn’t having it. Again, thank you to the waitress we had, she was very kind. But I feel like I should’ve at least had my soda taken care of for them screwing up my dinner and ultimately not getting anything at all. Very disappointed”

“If you're the type of person who uses the recommended tip amount on the receipt be sure to check it, The restaurant is manipulating those recommended tip amounts. My bill was $25 but the recommended 20% tip amount we as $8 when it should have only been $5 for a 20% tip. I asked the manager how it populated the recommended tip amounts and she told me she didn't know and walked off. Edit to reply to the owner- my bill wasnt split, I ordered Nacho's and drinks. The burrito wasn't part of my order. Updated review 5/7/2024 Over the past 2.5yrs I have purchased 6 of the drink glasses they offer for $10 that come with $5 refills (refill charge also shows in the receipt) as long as you bring them with you. Today I was charged $7 for each refill so I questioned Why am I getting charged more all of a sudden and the new manager? Told me that whoever was charging for the refills for the past 2 years was charging me incorrectly, they also only had 2 servers covering the entire restaurant, People were having to walk around and find the server to place orders or get the bill so they could leave, we waited over 30mins to place our food order which also came out incorrectly, we ordered 4 tacos with corn tortillas, received 3 and 2 of those had flour tortillas. As I was checking Veronica the server obviously knew who I was based on my previous review because she personally attacked me over my review that I had left reporting the receipt manipulation. I see why all the employees have quit and moved to other locations around town.”

“I was staying at an Airbnb very close to Scooters in Georgetown. I went every morning to get coffee and breakfast. The staff was extra friendly and the coffee and food were really good. I did not think the prices were high at all!”

“Ordered a Beef and Cheddar and to my surprise it had red sauce on it. Which is not done where I live about 45 mins north. Up here they just toss a glob of beef on a bun and throw a dab of cheddar on it. So I was pleasantly surprised to actually get a decent Beef and Cheddar sandwich.

Dang thing was good too.

I did rate the atmosphere of this place at a 4. And I did a 4star rating and not lower because I feel it's out of the stores hands, but some weird dude stared at me the whole time I wad sitting in my van stuffing this Beef and Cheddar down my face. I was getting busy too with this sandwich ?. So it was awkward.

At first I thought " oh great, a bum that wants to make eye contact with me so he can ask me for a dollar when I go to through my food bag away"......

But the more It went on .... I think maybe he just was staring at me because I was making live to this Beef and Cheddar sandwich man. At any rate.... it was good bro. Dude was weird.

“My party of 5 went to Cracker Barrel on Sunday around 5:00pm. It wasn't real busy. Our waitress came and we placed our drink orders as well as ordered our meal. I ordered this country fried turkey wit green beans and mashed potatoes with white gravy. My husband ordered the Southern fried chicken with two sides. My son ordered a steak with mashed potatoes and a 2nd side that he didn't get. His wife ordered Mac and cheese with chicken and dumplings with a sampler plate. For her son, chicken fingers dinner. We waited for over 30 minutes for our food and when it came, my fried turkey andashed potatoes had no gravy. My food was all just barely warm. My sons mashed potatoes had no gravy. My son's wife's food was cold and she asked to get hot dishes. We all ordered biscuits and cornbread but had to ask for it again.y husband and I go to Cracker Barrel several times over the past few months and our food has always been really good. Our waitress was really sweet and attentive, my complaint is with the people platimg up the food. It took so long for us to get our food and then everything was cold.”

“I have given the Restaurant the Highest Reviews in the past ..but something has happend at least to morning shift...over the last month or so the drive thru staff will be out side smoking but won't take orders...I have had to wait 25 minutes for a Breakfast order 1 meal not 10...now today I show at 7:30 they open at 7...No One responded at the drive threw speaker...so after a 10 minute wait , I pull on up to the window...still no response so after 7 minutes or so I call ...a staff member answered...I ask if they were open...he said no...they got a late start ..said they were just getting the food ready for the Buffet...it would be ready by 8am, I love this restaurant eat here several times a Week, their evening staff is still Great and Recommend them ...but I suggest that until something changes. Avoid Breakfast ....or plan on waiting a while...I'll be Back when some changes are Made”
