“We were visiting my daughter and son in law in Richmond, ky over the weekend and they recommended Hokkaido restaurant. This was our first time here and I couldn't be more impressed! I ordered the spicy ramen bowl and we also ordered the spring rolls and the pot stickers. The food and service were great. I would highly recommend Hokkaido for anyone looking for great food and wonderful service! We will definitely be back!”

What a fun surprise to find and very close to most of the hotels just off the highway. Got both the vegetarian platter and chicken . Serving sizes were substantial, highly recommended!!!”

The staff was friendly and the service was pretty smooth, even though it was a little busy when I went. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, nothing too fancy which I liked. Prices seemed fair for the amount of food you get. Overall, it was a nice experience and I’d be happy to come back and try something different next time.”

“Probably one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had. My food could not have been taken care of worse. I ordered a 16 oz. sirloin cooked medium, and was brought a well done steak. Not really a big deal, it happens. They returned the steak and a manager brought me out another one. I cut through it and it looked better and told the manager it was alright. The more I cut through it, the more I was able to tell that it was just as well done as the first steak. I let my waitress know (who was very kind and very helpful and genuinely felt sorry) and had her return it and not worry about bringing me another one. The manager returned to tell me that “since the first steak was returned half eaten, I can discount your bill”. The steak was not half eaten. I returned both steaks almost completely untouched and maybe tried 1-2 bites of each to see if it was okay to eat, so I wasn’t really sure where she got that I had eaten half of the first steak. Again, the waitress we had, who I think was a blonde lady named Bobbie (I could be wrong with that name) was very kind and felt sorry, but the manager I dealt with felt like she was very irritated to have to deal with me having 2 wrongly cooked steaks. She took off the price of the steaks off my bill, but still made me pay for my soda. No apology and nothing to make up for me sitting in there for over an hour and not getting any dinner. I guess the manager just wasn’t having it. Again, thank you to the waitress we had, she was very kind. But I feel like I should’ve at least had my soda taken care of for them screwing up my dinner and ultimately not getting anything at all. Very disappointed”

Most of the negative reviews are about prices going up and I think about it like this, some complain about family owned businesses prices going up, yet don't complain about multi-million dollar companies raising THEIR prices. Plus, you get your money's worth here. This place is so worth it. The restaurant is beautiful and very authentic. The staff is so nice and caring. I would highly recommend this restaurant.”

“If you're the type of person who uses the recommended tip amount on the receipt be sure to check it, The restaurant is manipulating those recommended tip amounts. My bill was $25 but the recommended 20% tip amount we as $8 when it should have only been $5 for a 20% tip. I asked the manager how it populated the recommended tip amounts and she told me she didn't know and walked off. Edit to reply to the owner- my bill wasnt split, I ordered Nacho's and drinks. The burrito wasn't part of my order. Updated review 5/7/2024 Over the past 2.5yrs I have purchased 6 of the drink glasses they offer for $10 that come with $5 refills (refill charge also shows in the receipt) as long as you bring them with you. Today I was charged $7 for each refill so I questioned Why am I getting charged more all of a sudden and the new manager? Told me that whoever was charging for the refills for the past 2 years was charging me incorrectly, they also only had 2 servers covering the entire restaurant, People were having to walk around and find the server to place orders or get the bill so they could leave, we waited over 30mins to place our food order which also came out incorrectly, we ordered 4 tacos with corn tortillas, received 3 and 2 of those had flour tortillas. As I was checking Veronica the server obviously knew who I was based on my previous review because she personally attacked me over my review that I had left reporting the receipt manipulation. I see why all the employees have quit and moved to other locations around town.”

“We dined here today, as always, excellent food and service. Lacy was our waitress today and took very good care of us. We love Roosters 🐔 and it has become on of our favorite all time places to eat. After eating wings there the 1st time several years ago, I cannot eat wings anywhere else. I wish they would bring one to northern Ky. However, I will gladly drive 50 miles to Georgetown Ky to eat wings We also go to the Wilmington location when visiting the area. There is no comparison in taste and 3 times the size of BW3 and Wings and Rings.”

If you havent had one of those fresh and still warm glazed, you havent lived. These people that own this place are genuinely the most respectful and polite in all of Georgetown, and ill tell you what, God created these people to be the best donut makers in all the land, and thats exactly what they do. Ive never had a better donut anywhere, or even one that compares.”

My son ordered a steak with mashed potatoes and a 2nd side that he didn't get. His wife ordered Mac and cheese with chicken and dumplings with a sampler plate. For her son, chicken fingers dinner. We waited for over 30 minutes for our food and when it came, my fried turkey andashed potatoes had no gravy. My food was all just barely warm. My sons mashed potatoes had no gravy. My son's wife's food was cold and she asked to get hot dishes. We all ordered biscuits and cornbread but had to ask for it again.y husband and I go to Cracker Barrel several times over the past few months and our food has always been really good. Our waitress was really sweet and attentive, my complaint is with the people platimg up the food. It took so long for us to get our food and then everything was cold.”

I was treated absolutely wonderfully and haven’t received that kind of customer service in a very long time. The young man working the front counter went out of his way to please every customer that walked through the door and was working as hard as he could. The Assistant Manager, Hassan was also very kind. I will return, just because I will never forget the absolutely wonderful service I received today!”

“Everybody’s fast to share an opinion when it’s not the best ever but yet so many people to get good stuff don’t say something so I’m on here to say that on this day November 2, 2025 whoever is cooking on the night shift is absolutely amazing. I just got the chicken quesadilla with three hardshell tacos on the side Add tomato and all I can say is it was the best made chicken quesadilla as far as portion of food and everything could be concerned and I will give them a 10 star if I could hope they keep the good work up because I’ve been there many times in the past and I can say that maybe not every time‘s been great but this time definitely deserves a mention to give encouragement to be able to keep it up in the first place. She got the mangonada with an almost criminal amount of tajin and mine is a glorified peach ring 😂 I believe Ivee was doing carhop and Sarah M was in the window (might be opposite oopsies) but for Ivee only being there a couple weeks she was extremely friendly, made sure our drinks were correct, and even slid us some surprises as we were leaving. Sarah at the window repeated our order and made us feel extremely welcome, chatting with us the whole time. We will always frequent this location and these girls and guys really do their best out here 💙”
