“Coming thru from Cleveland, Ohio it's was well worth the stop! We sampled pretty much everything, and it was all very good! Bacon wrapped Hotdogs as a special were a hit, Mac and cheese, beans, coleslaw as sides didn't last with the kids. Brisket, pull pork and ribs all great as well! Washed down with some raspberry lemonade with a splash of sweat tea!“

“I found Babes BBQ recently by doing a google search for restaurants in Georgetown! Someone asked me have I ate at a restaurant but she couldn’t remember what it was called so I started naming places and unfortunately it wasn’t Babes but I am glad I stumbled upon your restaurant! The Awesome atmosphere of family style seating or small tables. Service is stellar from ordering your food at the counter to it being ready for you in a timely manner and brought to your table. The staff walked around checking on everyone multiple times and asked if everything was good and if you needed anything. This was an amazing dine in experience and we will be returning in the future!“

“This place was very popular and I couldn't see why. The food and service were very good. The portions were more than enough had to take stuff home.I only have one negative. I did love the option of getting a text message when a seat was available. It gave me the opportunity to sit in the car while waiting due to back issues. But when they called us in, we had to wait another fifteen minutes standing, and that was difficult on my back.“

“If you love BBQ, then this is the place for you. This old school road side restaurant will shock you. It is located in Georgetown, Kentucky, or I guess just outside, in a Motel parking lot. As you enter, you get the feeling of time warp... every inch of the place is graffitied with the signatures of all visitors and customers. Pictured is on the bone ribs, not overcooked, very juicy, great flavor paired with fried green tomatoes and corn pudding. Other pictures had greens and pulled pork and brisket and chili with corn pudding. The brisket is delicious, probably just as good as Big Bob Gibson BBQ in Alabama. Not dry at all. The corn pudding was good, not sweet, but still good. The chili is not your standard chili. It is thick and has brisket in it but delicious. The fried green tomatoes were spot on and a must try. On the tables are many different kinds of bbq sauce, anything from tart, sweet, tangy, to hot. The place is always busy, this is a must try and experience if you are near-by.“

ROlling Red State Bbq Barbeque • $$
Lexington - 9.58 miles

“On my way to Georgia and got the grumbles. BBQ was on my mind. Yelped what's in the area and Red State pops up. Divey BBQ spots are usually the best and this place didn't disappoint!! People wrote on the walls and ceilings and I loved it. Half slab of ribs, beer cheese grits and fried green tomatoes. Boom. Texas something or ruther bbq sauce. Oh and PEACH bread pudding. Oh and Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale (8.2%) Ribs-perfect smoke. Fall off the bone. Sauce so good I couldn't tell the rib from my finger and bit myself. Beer cheese grits- damn. Just damn. Fried green tomatoes- good but I've had better. Peach Bread Pudding- cmon. Peach cobbler had a baby with bread pudding?? I'm about to lose feeling in my toes. So damn good that I could care less about taking pics. If you're In the area and get the hankering for some meat sweats, stop here. You won't be sorry.“
