“Today I traveled from Florida to Cincinnati. My sister and I wanted to get a bite to eat . We didnt want to get fast food that you could get on every corener . While leaving the airport I Googled restaurants close by . There were several to choose from however, we decided on Pig Candy BBQ this restaurant did not disappoint. The food was amazing ( we had the special which was the brisket sandwich) this sandwich was very tender and full of flavor. If you are just traveling through or a local or feel up to a drive this is definitely worth your time .The staff knows what customer service means . All around Great food and service. A MUST STOP....... THANK YOU !!“

“I would recommend Velvet Smoke BBQ in white oak. One of the best bbq places I have ever had and it comes out of a small mom and pop shop. The ribs, burnt ends, and the wings are by far my favorite. Best BBQ in town, and I would recommend it to anyone that I know. If you are in the Cincinnati, OH area you need to check out this place!! 10/10!“

“I felt like I was back in Malaysia from the first bite, from the scent too! The restaurant is cute, the service was incredible (she explained the menu very well too) and the food transported me. “I have been staying at The Phelps for business. I frequently get in late, and quite frankly do not feel like going out. The Phelps Bar is the perfect solution. I have been staying at The Phelps Hotel on and off for roughly a month so far. I have had most of their menu items and have yet to have one that has not been excellent. They recently changed their food and drink menu, so there are many new items to try. They have an outstanding "Signature Drink" Menu. My favorite is the Fig & Rosemary Old Fashioned that is hands down the very best Old Fashioned I have had anywhere, and that includes The Greenbrier Resort. The staff are all amazing and help to make the experience even better. My hat is off to Mark (I think he is the manager), Kat and Tynisa who run the bar, and David the cook. If you find yourself in the Downtown Cincinnati area close to the stadiums, then you really should try The Phelps Bar. You will not be disappointed.“

“The BBQ is great while feeling like you’re not in Cincinnati any more. I highly recommend the Mac it your own and the brisket platters. The brisket isn’t too dry but is very flavorful! We got sides of the peanut slaw with is decent and the Brussel sprouts are amazing. With 2 drinks. We are looking at under $50 for a delicious dinner with drinks after tax.“

“When we went we were greeted and we got to choose whether to sit at a table or a booth.
I tried their fu ki plum wine and it was very delicious.
All of the food was fresh and cooked perfectly. Some of the most delicious food I’ve had in a while and did not feel bloated afterwards.
I even was asked if I needed help and the lady at the end of the line working there helped me making the broth and it was absolutely perfect.

“Went here with a few friends and had an awesome time. The staff treated us like royalty and the owner recognized one person in our group as one of their regulars. The wings were outstanding and you can order them per wing instead of it being a fixed amount, which is always my preference. This was my fist time there and I would recommend it to anyone. It's a great location, the inside is really cool with the exposed barrels displayed, and it was very clean. Plenty of TVs inside the bar area too. Our group will be going back again soon.“

“Atmosphere was great service was pretty good. My food came out and the waitress disappeared. I would’ve sent my steak back. It was not as done as I would’ve liked it. It was more like medium maybe just under medium and I wanted it medium well. By the time the waitress came back I was already halfway through it. So I went ahead and needed it anyway. So I wasn’t happy with the service or the food particularly. So I guess it’s my fault. I didn’t like the food too much because I could’ve sent it back except I was with five other people and didn’t want to hold them up by me sending my steak back.“

“Food is typically very good. Only issue with food this time was that I ordered my steak medium (Sirloin) and my husband ordered his medium rare (NY Strip). Sadly they reversed it. Also, there was a bday party group so atmosphere was much louder than normal. Not Longhorns fault but made it harder to have conversation with people at our own table.“

“I remember trying this place when I first moved to Cincinnati because it’s conveniently right around the corner and wanted to try it based on all the good reviews, I remember disliking half of my meal but liking the other half , I remember the macaroni and cheese being pretty good and the cornbread being the best I’ve ever had fast forward to today and still kind of mixed reviews because once again I liked some parts and disliked other parts , the macaroni this time wasn’t that great it was very oily ? Potato salad was good and the hot dog was good , the Jamaican beef patty was tough asf , cornbread was decent , I’ll probably try again as I always give places a three strikes and your out type of thing not gonna say it’s great but it’s good I think I just need to keep trying different things from them til I get a niche for something I like“

“I love Happy's but they need better management or something. Went in to pickup two pizzas (delivery driver never showed up to work apparently) and they only had two people working. They even had to stop taking orders because they were swamped. Pizza as usual was completely delicious. Had a nice char on the crust. I'm hoping they get things figured out soon.“
