“Today I traveled from Florida to Cincinnati. My sister and I wanted to get a bite to eat . We didnt want to get fast food that you could get on every corener . While leaving the airport I Googled restaurants close by . There were several to choose from however, we decided on Pig Candy BBQ this restaurant did not disappoint. The food was amazing ( we had the special which was the brisket sandwich) this sandwich was very tender and full of flavor. If you are just traveling through or a local or feel up to a drive this is definitely worth your time .The staff knows what customer service means . All around Great food and service. A MUST STOP....... THANK YOU !!“

“Absolutely fabulous experience! Service was warm, knowledgeable, and attentive. Each dish was balanced and so favorable - we especially loved the chickpea-spinach and artichoke tapas. The mushroom side dish offers an explosion of flavor, and the desserts were wonderfully balanced and not overly sweet. Cocktail and wine choices were great, as well. Will definitely be back!“

“I would recommend Velvet Smoke BBQ in white oak. One of the best bbq places I have ever had and it comes out of a small mom and pop shop. The ribs, burnt ends, and the wings are by far my favorite. Best BBQ in town, and I would recommend it to anyone that I know. If you are in the Cincinnati, OH area you need to check out this place!! 10/10!“

“I have been staying at The Phelps for business. I frequently get in late, and quite frankly do not feel like going out. The Phelps Bar is the perfect solution. I have been staying at The Phelps Hotel on and off for roughly a month so far. I have had most of their menu items and have yet to have one that has not been excellent. They recently changed their food and drink menu, so there are many new items to try. They have an outstanding "Signature Drink" Menu. My favorite is the Fig & Rosemary Old Fashioned that is hands down the very best Old Fashioned I have had anywhere, and that includes The Greenbrier Resort. The staff are all amazing and help to make the experience even better. My hat is off to Mark (I think he is the manager), Kat and Tynisa who run the bar, and David the cook. If you find yourself in the Downtown Cincinnati area close to the stadiums, then you really should try The Phelps Bar. You will not be disappointed.“

I don’t eat out much in Cincinnati and I am so amazed by the flavor, service, and diverse array of dishes. The Curry Mee noodles are delightful and I would eat them every day if I could.

Hainanese chicken with rice is also delightful! And if you like coconuts, try the coconut rice!“

“Very friendly always. The best burger I've had in years, well seasoned, juicy, cooked perfect. I couldn't finish the burger and had the rest for breakfast and it was still awesome. My son had wings and finished them down to the bone. Good good food ?“

“I had such a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere is very comfortable, especially with those bright red booths that make for a relaxing place to sit.

I really enjoyed being able to customize my own meal at the fresh food station. There was a great variety of ingredients like green onions and fresh noodles to choose from. Everything looked clean and well-prepared. My final bowl was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. I will definitely be back soon.“

“The best brisket sandwich I've had. That is coming from someone who lived in South Carolina for 15+ years. Not much fat, the meat was fall apart tender, and the sauce is delicious. Very filling brisket sandwich. Excellent service, the waitress was kind and attentive.

The wings were outstanding and you can order them per wing instead of it being a fixed amount, which is always my preference. This was my fist time there and I would recommend it to anyone. “This place cares about their customers and goes above and beyond. I cannot say enough about this location. My family comes here often (1-2 times a month) and tonight they blew us away with kindness. We came in at 10 thinking they closed at 11 to place a to go order for my husband. He just finished a HARD move between our old and new house. My husband was running on 4 hrs of sleep after working 3-11:30 and then getting up to pack and then go back to work again. His only requests were to feed him when he got home + have swim trunks ready for the hot tub. But it was a Wednesday night……. And they closed at 10… not 11. The team said, we’ve got you and was so kind to make our food (when they didn’t have to at all). The food was delicious (as always) and they made this day special for my husband and our family.

“I remember trying this place when I first moved to Cincinnati because it’s conveniently right around the corner and wanted to try it based on all the good reviews, I remember disliking half of my meal but liking the other half , I remember the macaroni and cheese being pretty good and the cornbread being the best I’ve ever had fast forward to today and still kind of mixed reviews because once again I liked some parts and disliked other parts , the macaroni this time wasn’t that great it was very oily ? Potato salad was good and the hot dog was good , the Jamaican beef patty was tough asf , cornbread was decent , I’ll probably try again as I always give places a three strikes and your out type of thing not gonna say it’s great but it’s good I think I just need to keep trying different things from them til I get a niche for something I like“
