“After a terrible first dinner in town at Nicola's (food was great, service was bad enough to never return), my business partner and I kept our fingers crossed before going to Abigail Street for dinner the next night. What a breath of fresh air. The hummus was the perfect consistency, and the mussels were divine. Our server, I think his name was John, was a treasure. Kudos to Abigail Street for restoring our faith in Cincinnati restaurants.“

“We had dinner at Ivory House on 3/21. It was an absolutely delightful dining experience. The food was superb. The staff was welcoming and worked hard to ensure we had a very pleasant dining experience. We will most definitely return.“

“We came here for dinner one mid-week evening before taking a stroll through Summit Park. You can definitely show up dressed comfortably/casually, but they have pretty decent ambiance, suitable for some weekend fun. We weren't super intrigued by the menu; it was a little less extensive than I'd hope from a place like this, mostly heavier options, and maybe not a ton of things I'd order next time. For me, the mussels far exceeded my expectations. That broth was heavenly, the bread was soft and perfect for soaking up the great flavors, the mussels themselves were very abundant, and had okay freshness. My lady said her burger was mediocre. She tried both the truffle fries and duck fat fries and was disappointed by both. I've never seen her not eat fries before, so that says a lot! Service was good overall. I'd come back for those mussels any day, but not quite as excited to dig deeper into the menu. I wouldn't deter anybody from giving them a try, especially if out enjoying the park on a nice day.“

“I love the atmosphere, it’s elegant but with the door opening and closing that made it chili and that’s why I gave the 4 stars. The wait staff was excellent. Swift, patient, knowledgeable, all stepped in and helped, truly satisfied with the service! The food was exquisite!!! I had the baked chicken and baked potato and it was cooked and seasoned to perfection!!!! I only gave 4 stars because for me I feel the menu is limited with choices I like. The person I was with raved about the trout, couscous, and Brussels sprouts! This was a special night, special event, and j Alexander felt just as special!!!“

“I’ve been coming here for a couple years. It is a gem of a place. You cannot find better food for this price downtown or anywhere else in general. Every member of the team there is very friendly and has nailed customer service. Today I was inspired to write this review because I saw the chef making some French toast. He was treating the motions with so much care, attention, and grace, it was like watching an artist at work. It is clear the people here take pride in their work, and you can taste it. Cincinnati is lucky to have this place!“

“I was just bragging about my Wednesday evenings at Jeff Ruby's while working in downtown Cincinnati for 2 years. We were so spoiled! We were eating the ultimate steaks and I do mean the best we've ever had steaks, sushi, cocktails and truly wicked awesome service, and last but not least, the Ambience was superb. You can actually hang around where Frank Sinatra hung with so many stars through the years and it's truly an experience! ❤️. We had the pleasure of meeting Jeff on numerous occasions, and he had a passion for the best. When my honey introduced me to Jeff Ruby's, he told me "I'll never have a better steak ever!". It's true! To this day I have not had a better steak and experience! Unfortunately, I've lost my honey but he taught me so much and showed me more than anyone ever could. I miss being able to eat in, but even take out is good. Food is always fresh and tasty. For what you get, the prices are amazingly low, in my opinion. Bought a large noodle dish and I have enough for 3 meals!
Staff are always friendly and helpful despite always being swamped and pulled in 4 different directions.“

“I can’t say enough good things about Chaske and the whole Brown Bear team. Their cinnamon rolls are the best on the planet, and therefore are mine and my (now) husband’s favorite dessert. So when we got engaged and started planning our wedding, we were both crossing our fingers to be able to have Brown Bear cinnamon rolls for our guests — and Chaske made our dreams come true!! The cinnamon rolls were such a hit, and we were delighted to have our favorite dessert for our special day. I can’t thank this team enough for making the magic happen. “YouTube suggested this Malaysian restaurant and I am glad that we drove to give a try. It is the best and authentic Malaysian restaurant I had so far. Server is so friendly and introduced food perfectly. Hot teh Tarik served with warm temperature so you could enjoy the drink right away, it is a sweet touch. Roti canai is good, sambal is spicy and lentil curry is good. Curry noodle has spicy kick with a touch of coconut milk and the chicken is nice. Noodle with bbq pork and wanton is delicious. Bbq pork is authentic and delicious. Nasi lemak with beef rendang doesn’t disappoint as well. Beef rendang is cook to perfection, tender with all the spice flavor blended perfectly. Highly recommend this restaurant if you miss Malaysian food.“

“My wife and I frequent Maplewood on the weekends for brunch. There are many options in downtown/OTR/northern Kentucky for breakfast on the weekends, but Maplewood is our favorite. The menu has a nice variety of American breakfast options, as well as healthier alternatives. We love the Guajillo Bowl and Mediterranean Bowl, but the Maplewood Hash is also delicious if you are in the mood for something a little heavier. The GM, Erik, often recognizes us and welcomes us back. Erik and his staff always do a great job with service, and mitigating the crowded weekend mornings. Bring back the Chicken Tiga!!! Note: It's first come, first serve seating and you are supposed to wait in line and order before being seated. However entitled guests sometimes circumvent the line and save tables for the rest of their party waiting at the back of the line, whom have yet to order. This often throws off the flow of available tables, because the people whom waited in line and just ordered, now do not have a table. It can get busy here on weekends, but if you go, don't be one of these people, please wait in line like everyone else. The line moves quickly and the staff turns over the tables quickly as well. The couple of times this has happened to us, the staff promptly sat us at the bar and gave us a discount on our breakfast.“

“My husband and I visited Seasons 52 Cincinnati last year for our anniversary and had such a great experience that we came back to celebrate again this year. We had the pleasure of being served by Lindsey both times! The food was phenomenal and service was outstanding. They were so thoughtful in reading our reservation note and we were greeted with the sweetest anniversary sign on our table and even left with a card. “The Capital Grille was fabulous. From arrival to leaving, they provided exceptional service. Upon arrival, they greeted us with a smile, and there was no wait. The table was ready and they even accommodated our large party with a few unexpected people.
The waiter Paoblo was amazing. He provided us with all the chef's specials and provided a detailed review of the menu.
He was very attentive to our needs. The manager on duty was very professional and pleasant and ensured we were taken care of. As we celebrated three birthdays, it was a pleasant and memorable evening.

“Emillie was a great server! Let's start with the great things. We did apps and sides. Dumplings were so good but broth was phenomenal !!! Burrata and tomato jam was basically an amazing caprese, sooo good. We also had truffle mushrooms which we added to dumpling broth, YUM! and also had the perfect broccoli with just an ok aioli. Was unimpressed with crab avocado toast, not worth the expense. Have had a a lot of crab food options s and this underwhelmed. My husband is a brownie sundae officianato and he seriously loved the s'more brownie dessert. Overall, great food and sat outside away from a noisy interior on a Friday night.“

“I was in town and Agave & Rye was recommended to me. I stopped in on 9/10/22 talked with Emma the hostess and explained I was having a few friends to stop by not sure how many between five and ten. She accommodated me at the high rise table back by the windows which was perfect for my nine guest. Sarah was our excellent server, she continually checked in on us even thou I saw her working outside as well. Our drinks were awesome and our food was really good. Next time I am in town I will definitely return here.“

The food is good, the service is outstanding and despite the place being a bit cramped at time it’s cozy. I particularly recommend this one thing I had that I think was called the Flying Pig. It was ham and swiss on french toast, and while that sounds weird it was absolutely delicious. Definitely check this place out if you can.“

“I really appreciate the message BLOC stands for and the positive impact they have on Price Hill. However, my main issue is the slow service. It often takes far too long to get a simple (and pricey) cold brew coffee. If you're looking for a quick stop for a $6 coffee, this isn't the place.

This business could really benefit from offering carryout or call-ahead options. I often find myself driving past BLOC and grabbing carryout from Starbucks instead, just because I know I can get in and out quickly. While high volume may not be the goal for this business, I would love to support them more—if only the speed of service were faster.“

If seafood is your thing, Shrimp and Grits or River's Rising are delish. If you're not into Phish, half the jokes might go right over your head, but try the Blackhole Sun burger.
