“Sue and Bullet are great, they are super friendly and if you stop in regularly will remember your name and even your order. The prices are relatively cheap and you get a solid amount of food. They make the best BLT around and I always make sure to check out the special on Tuesday/Thursday. If you're looking for a quick workday lunch you should definitely stop in!“

“1215 is one of the best coffee shops I’ve had the pleasure of frequenting, and I make it a habit to go here at least once a week. It’s in the heart of OTR and is super convenient for anyone in that area. I’m on a first name basis with the baristas and ordering food/coffee from them feels less transactional and more human. They sell Deeper Roots coffee which is top notch, and I could drink their house blend for the rest of my life. They have a really solid selection of teas too. The place is not at all pretentious, and has a regular clientele that is relaxed and friendly - and the place is bustling but not too busy. The music they play is at the right volume and is well-curated - Americana, folk, 2000s indie, soft rock, blues. Around 5-6pm the coffee shop vibe slowly turns into a romantic and cozy wine bar with live music on some nights. The flowers on the tables are replaced by candles and the lights are dimmed. While I’m usually busier in the evenings, this tempts me to stay all day. Fantastic place that I cannot recommend enough!“

“Benson Paige is a pup who has lived in a shelter for a whole year. Today is his last day on earth since he is being humanely euthanized tomorrow. A foster took him out and spent some time at Bloc, so benson got to finally cuddle up on a couch. He finally got to eat a whole plate of eggs, a plate of bacon and experience the good life- something he never got to experience before. Stevie the lead barista was incredibly kind and compassionate over the phone with me while I tried to coordinate getting benson a special treat and helped me make sure the foster & benson were taken care of and that he got to experience love. There are no words to describe my gratitude to them and thank them for providing a place for benson to be safe and loved. ❤️❤️❤️ can not recommend them enough for their customer service“

“My family just joined about a month ago and it has been amazing for everyone! We take our young kids to J Play/kids club, which they love, while my husband and I work out. The kids love the inside pool with splash area/water slide. It is the perfect activity for cold winter days. They have towel service, a communal bucket of kids goggles, pool toys, noodles, puddle jumpers, and life jackets. It’s so nice to only have to remember our swim suits and swim diaper for the little one! The life guards are great too! We can’t wait to use the outside pool in the summer! I rave about this place to all families I know! It’s nice to be able to fit working out back into my schedule and have the kids look forward to going as well. The whole facility is clean, well maintained, and updated. And the membership cost for our family is very reasonable.“

ALWAYS try the broth first before adding anything to it as a sign of respect for the chef. The broth is the key for any good Pho and this was amazing!“

My wife had the breakfast burrito (very tasty) and i had an apple walnut (i believe) muffin. It was very tasty as well. We also ordered some bagels to go. “What a CUTE coffee shop 😍😍 The inside is absolutely darling and has plenty of space to sit and enjoy your coffee and breakfast. We opted to sit outside on the patio and enjoy the beautiful weather. Super dog friendly which is always great to see. And lots of breakfast options. We got the quinoa bowl for a gluten free option and it was so good. The sausage in it was very light and everything else was very filling. They also had some fun gluten free muffins and a s'mores bar that was super tasty!! They also have a piano which is sometimes being played by a neighbor which makes me feel at home as well!“

“Pretty much the epitome of a hole in the wall bar. The staff or bartender aren't the most social creates but that's not why you go there. The beer and drinks a dirt cheap and good. I'm pretty sure that regulars there have been patronizing that bar for years. Great little bar if your into that style and atmosphere.“

Cozy inside and out back they have a nice clean outdoor space with a fire pit. If your favorite local band or one you're interested in is playing, give this place a shot! Literally every customer that was in the bar when we went seemed polite/friendly. Like, people actually say excuse me to get by, easy to strike up conversation, etc. Very welcoming. Was my first time at a bar in a long time, so I was weary, but I couldn't have asked for a better evening. We were there on an early to mid Saturday evening and it wasn'tt crowded. There was plenty of room for us to sit. Last, the men's bathroom was clean, which was nice. Hope to visit again! PS: Should mention that I wasn't drinking alcohol and still had a great time!“
