This was an awesome place for a first date, but I'm sure it would serve for the millionth date. They had a diverse menu, and something for everyone. If you're a foodie this is a great place to try, and if you like things simple they have some great options.

Perhaps it was an off day given all the positive reviews but we had a poor experience here. From the not even trying to be passive aggressive host to the slow service and bland food nothing stood out but the stomach aches afterwards. We were a larger group without a reservation as this was an impulse visit. We checked with the host and offered that we would be happy to go somewhere else if they couldn't accommodate. He said fine. While seating us though he lectured the whole group that parties of six or more really should call ahead and he really hopes we remember to do that next time (there were 7 of us) if it's a problem seating people then tell them so. Don't do it and then lecture about how we violated restaurant protocol we knew we were asking for a favor.
On to the meal, the chicken and dumplings are not what you are thinking if you are from the South. This is not cracker barrel or a meat and 3. This is soup with chicken and some dough balls. Sadly the chicken had no flavor nor did the dumplings even after drowning them in salt and pepper. The broth was oily. I think they cook whole chicken with skin in creating a slick oil soup that will make your mouth feel like it was coated in vegetable oil. Two people in our group ordered and found it to be very bad in one case they just couldnt stomach it at all. I made an effort at mine and felt pretty bad for the rest of the day. Our medium rare steak was rare to the point of blue with a cold center. We would have sent it back for a quick refire but our server was absent and the food itself had taken over 40 minutes to arrive. The meatballs were delightful though as were the devilled eggs. Mentioning service it was terrible. When he did check on us one person would speak up and he'd be off leaving people with empty glasses. Overall just really poor experience. we saw some other folks leave without ordering so again maybe a shorthanded day but no one explained anything, checked on us or showed any care that a crummy meal took nearly 2 hrs involved a rude host an absent server and a slow kitchen.

5 stars all the way around! Fantastic food I had the stroganoff and it was the best I have ever eaten. The portions are insane. Most definitely going here again!!

Trendy atmosphere. Lovely menu. Lacked execution and seasoning.
This farm-to-table restaurant was a great dining experience for our first night in Georgetown. Our server Olivia was the most friendly and welcoming waitress we have had. The deviled eggs and cornbread starters were a perfect beginning to our meal. Since we arrived later in the night, ingredients for the beef stroganoff were out so a good substitute was the two-piece fried chicken with whipped mashed potatoes. Other diners had the fried catfish w/ coleslaw and the largest hush puppies I've ever seen, and the 3 for $23 small plate meal consisting of brussels sprouts, soup beans w/ braised ham, and salisbury wagyu meatballs. The food was plenty and we all went home with enough leftovers for a second meal.
Local Feed should be a must-try when visiting Georgetown, and be sure to make a reservation online.

Fried chicken. It was just ok. I won't order it again. It seems like a nice place. We were there mid-afternoon. Maybe it wasn't the best time to go.

Really wanted to go here with my extended family and I called them three times to see if we could get in and all three times they forwarded my call to voicemail after one or two rings…😏

Stopped in for late lunch. They serve all day breakfast. We tried the cornbread, deviled eggs, and chicken and dumplings. I had to season the eggs and dumplings. I also prefer bite size pieces of dumplings and chicken. I had to cut it up a bit, but that’s just my preference. It was definitely made from scratch and with care.
Server was friendly and accommodating. Prices are what we expected.
Overall great experience and would certainly eat here again!

We loved everything about this place. We live in North Cincinnati and wish we knew of a spot similar to local feed. The food was delicious and there is a wide variety to try. Everything is adventurous and you can tell it is carefully crafted.

Local feed is a wonderful farm to table place to visit. Right in the heart of Georgetown.
We stopped in after visiting nearby castle and key distillery for a nice lunch.
The service was perfect. The quality of food was perfect. The prices were spot on for portions, freshness, choices. My only suggestion (just because of personal health issues) cut back on salt some when preparing. Highly recommend for anyone to go to.
