We were pleasantly surprised with our experience here. We had a party of 5, and ALL of us left with full stomachs and a full to-go box! We had SO much food!! The steak was excellent, as well as our two sushi rolls. Upon walking up it's nothing special - it's an old plaza. My only suggestion is that I would have liked to see a cleaner bathroom and the sticky sauces cleaned off outer sides of the hibachi grill.

Go for th show not th food. We did th hibachi, show was ok, food was not great. Service was acceptable. Teriyaki sauce was salty, no Teriyaki flavor.

We had an amazing experience at Sapporo! This cozy, family-friendly Japanese restaurant in Georgetown, Kentucky, truly stands out. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, perfect for a family meal.
The menu offers a fantastic variety, from classic sushi rolls to flavorful hibachi dishes, making it easy to find something for everyone, even for picky eaters. The kids loved watching their meal being prepared at the hibachi grill, and the chef’s fun tricks kept them entertained throughout.
Each dish was fresh and beautifully presented, with authentic flavors that transported us right to Japan. We highly recommend the teriyaki chicken and shrimp tempura—both were simply outstanding.
The staff was incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable dining experience. We left feeling satisfied, happy, and eager to return. If you're looking for a family-oriented spot in Georgetown with delicious Japanese cuisine, Sapporo is a must-visit!

Other than the Yum Yum sauce being too thinned out, everything was really good and plated/presented well!
We went during lunch and just sat at a regular table as opposed to sitting at the hibachi grill and had a nice visit and enjoyed yummy food.
I wish I had taken photos, but I didn't think about it until it was too late.
The prices were pretty average for this type of food.

I dined at the Sapporo restaurant in Georgetown Kentucky on September 20th, 2024 and had a OUTSTANDING meal (EXCELLENT Tenderloin Hibachi and Salmon) and a truly WONDERFUL experience overall. The next day I stopped for gas in North Carolina and I realized my wallet containing significant cash, multiple credit cards, IDs, etc. was nowhere to be found. Retracing my steps, I realized that I last used my wallet at the Sapporo restaurant. I called and spoke to both my waiter and his manger Jacky, probably two of the most HONERABLE MEN I have ever met. They had found my wallet and immediately took steps to return it to me via rapid overnight shipment. I these days of mistrust in this world, I can only say that I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Sapporo Restaurant to everyone. You will definitely enjoy yourself there!

It's not the cleanest place. They charge gratuity on your bill no matter the size of your party, I hope they tip the cooks. 18% gratuity is a small tip but adding onto a bill that already has gratuity seems silly to me. I'd rather tip the extra to the cooks.
Parking: The parking lot is small and often crowded. There are very few spots to park and getting into and out of them is sometimes a tight squeeze.
Kid-friendliness: The hibachi is great for kids and often caters to them, playing and interacting with them throughout the dinner making process.
