Scotty Austin's Band was playing live and I had to go see them!! I absolutely lo-ve that band, and have drove to other states to see them, in the past!The venue was small, but very intimate. It let's you really enjoy the connection with the bands!!! There were 3 bands total playing and I discovered, some really awesome music. We love AJs, the people and place are down home country with a twist of rock and roll. They have great dance floor and DJ booth, but when they bring in bands, there is something to need to be done about the sound quality. We were on the first level, and you couldn't understand what the singer was singing, and going to the second level, the sound wasn't bouncing off the walls right or something. I'm not a sound pro. that's just how all 5 of us gals heard it. Did we have fun? Absolutely, we just had to step out on the porch here and there. If they tuned in whatever was wrong with the sound, that place would be standing room only!
Kid-friendliness: I think it's awesome they let under age bands play! It's great way of giving young musicians a place to go, get over inhibitions, and play better together.
