Came here actually because an old menu indicated they had GF buns available. I’d like to clarify, that menu is obsolete and they do NOT nor can they do lettuce buns.
That aside, we both enjoyed our burgers. I got the Justified burger. Very tasty! Our server was wonderful. We’re from out of town and she humored me with my questions about some of Harlan including, what’s a “holler” Very friendly. Quick service. Would return!

Fantastic food and great service, especially for our large group (11 people!). They offered us a private room in the back and we had great and quick service. The Justified burger is a MUST GET! The HCBC is a great place to stop in Harlan -- go out of the way for it (and make a reservation).

In my general experience it wasnt worth the money. Spent $60 on food and left a $10 tip. So for $70 all together it was not worth it. Their mack n cheese is heated up in a microwave. Their fried vegetables are dry on top and soaking wet on the bottom. Got a burger and it was super dry even with tomato, pickle, lettuce, and mayo on it. The kids meal tenders were overcooked and hard as a rock. My 19 month old literally gave up on it. The deserts were a sad letdown. If I want a pumpkin roll I'll just go to walmart and buy a whole one for the price you charge me for a slice. ( no i did not get desert cause it was all just stuff I could have bought at a store easily already made) The only 2 thinks that might have been worth my money was their wings and their fries.

Perfect spot for lunch or dinner or evening drink. Meg always makes sure we’re well taken care of and pleased. Justified burger is always a fav! Love the pimento cheese and apple butter combo.

Honestly my family has never had a worse dining experience ever, to start out when we arrived we asked for a high chair for our 2 year old and had to ask 3 times just to get told that both were being used, so we had to sit with our child in our lap, we finally got our food after waiting an hour for just an appetizer and finally got a high chair after my wife had to get up and get it after asking for it a 4th time and seeing there was one available, we finally got our burgers and our babies fries, things on our order were left off and the worst part of it all was half my wife’s burger had Wax paper on it to which she ate almost half of
Our waitress after being told this turned her head and laughed in our face obviously thinking it was funny, this really made us mad as this is serious and I don’t feel like it was handled correctly for something that in large amounts can hurt someone what if it had been our child that ate it
I recommend checking your food if you come her and eat anything cause who knows what else can be In the food when you order it and don’t expect good service
