Well this is primarily a gas station. The food is just something heated up, and if you want a drink you go get it out of the drink coolers you find in any gas station. Service was slow and not a single smile. Yikes. I just can’t understand the positive reviews.
Giovanni's has not only been repairing the store, but the staff as well. The head cook in the kitchen, is special and always on point. Which pits the other cooks/preps following in line. #amazingfood

In from Western NY for a family reunion. After leaving the Perry County pool, the family and I were in the mood for some pizza. So we got Giovannis and were pleasantly surprised! Good pizza for sure!

The food was good, but they’re getting one star because they forgot a crucial part of my meal… the red dressing.
If you’ve been to a Giovanni’s location, you know that the red dressing is important. When I got my large pepperoni calzone with extra red dressing, I got back to my vehicle to find no red dressing.
Normally, there’s two cups of this, but I paid extra for more. There were zero. Let’s face it, the pizza is just okay… it’s the combination of the pizza with the red dressing that makes this place what it is.
I went back inside. When I explained how I ordered extra and got none, the lady went back and got two. What did I pay extra for? Nothing. Just money given to them from me for the thought of red dressing?
You may be asking why this deserves one star, but I’m going to say that this is important. If my food doesn’t come with that dressing, then I might as well not eat it… because that wasn’t what I was craving. And to be honest, this happens at other locations, so I’m giving each Giovanni’s that forgets my dressing one star. Period.
If I had drove off and ate it elsewhere, like I was planning to do, or had it delivered, I would have been way more upset.
Also, this place is weird on the inside. It’s a Giovanni’s, but also a gas station. They take orders at the register but you can also buy tobacco behind them. Super strange concept.
Anyway, I hope they make a point to check it from now on. I’ll come back and try it again. I’ll let you know how it goes by updating my review.
Parking: Not a lot of spots.
Wheelchair accessibility: They’re doing construction on the front, so it would be pretty hard to get a wheelchair in right now.

My son and I ordered a large pepperoni pizza, and I had the steak hoagie with fries. Both were great!

It had been a while since we had eaten at Giovanni's in Hazard, and my son and I were happy that we stopped! My son had a large pepperoni piza,which he said was delicious, and I had the steak hoagie and fries. Everything was delicious. I loved the hoagie! The garlic lettuce and the bread they used were the perfect complement to make the hoagie stand out. The fries were perfect, and there were plenty enough to share. My son and I will be going back to Giovanni's again in the near future! It's definitely worth the time to stop by and grab a delicious meal for a reasonable price!
