I do not care who owns, runs, or operates any place I dine at as long as the food is appetizing and service is done with a smile. This place is AMAZING. AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS. Every plate I have been served was prepared perfectly. The steak is always juicy and flavorful. The portions amount to button busting twice over. I can get lunch, and have leftovers for dinner and to top ALL OF THIS OFF, the price is just as much as McDonald's. I no longer go to fastfood in Hodgenville thanks to this establishment. I highly recommend the coconut shrimp for an appetizer, and the salad as the side. Sauces are made in house and the best I've ever had! Other reviews making more of a point about "culture" or "music" as appropriation or not family friendly miss the main point of a food establishment. If the hibachi is delicious, the price phenomenal, I'm not gonna make a review just to mention ethnicity. A good hibachi is a good hibachi. As for their music, I quite enjoyed the bootlegged sounding country they use to have playing. It's unfortunate this town is only expected to appease the religious population, on a one way street of tolerance.

We love eating at Little Japan! The atmosphere is nice and quaint and the service is excellent! The employees there are extremely nice and attentive. The food is excellent and just as good as any big name hibachi restaurant with an excellent price.

The chicken egg rolls are amazing! The chicken yakisoba is also very good. ?

Little Japan is the only Asian restaurant in the county. I have eaten here a couple of times and the food is okay. In a nutshell; this is a Mexican restaurant that serves Japanese food. Not meant as a racial statement only as a general description. The food was better this visit. I ordered the lunch hibachi combo of steak and shrimp. The steak was overcooked and what seemed to be a cheaper cut of meat. It was tough and didn’t have much flavor.I also decided to try the sushi special which was a shrimp tempura roll. I was pleased with the roll but it was drowned in unagi/eel sauce. I do love the sauce but it overpowered the roll. The service was subpar. The guy that waited on me forgot about me after getting my drink and sushi order. When he remembered me he had to come back and ask what I wanted to drink. My memory is bad so I try not to be too harsh but there was only 2 occupied tables in the restaurant with a total of maybe 6 people. When he couldn’t remember the drink I was certain I wasn’t getting the sushi so I was surprised when he brought it out.Another issue I had, but didn’t address, is that my bill was $23.?? Totaled on my check. That included tax etc. when I went to pay the guy comes up with a $24.?? total. It was at least a dollar more than the ticket that was brought to my table. I would’ve asked but he was on the phone and not interested in conversing with me. Maybe it’s a charge for using my card? Maybe he’s pocketing an extra dollar or so from the customers? With that being said, I am a fan of this family of businesses. I am glad that they are providing some change of cuisine to the area. I don’t feel like the owner would condone any issues such as over charging but he is generally at the Mexican restaurant.Vegetarian options: There are plenty of options available for vegetarian patrons.Dietary restrictions: You can find food here regardless of dietary restrictions.Parking: There is sufficient parking around the building.Wheelchair accessibility: It’s ground level

Food is a bit pricey, but tastes ok. The amount of food is large, but the majority of it is fried rice.

Not very authentic in my opinion, but it is a nice Asian themed restaurant to go to in Hodgenville. Provides a nice spice of variety.

The atmosphere was filled with stereotypical signs of Japanese culture, the food was good but the ingredients were cheap. The waitress was nice and friendly. It was confusing since they had Mexican treats at the front.

The food we ordered was presentable but the taste of the food was awful the noodles are just spaghetti noodles and the chicken is just from a can it was very disgusting I wouldn’t tell anyone about the place or even consider it as a option and the workers didn’t bother the ask why i left a full plate on the table the workers don’t care it’s very disappointing

The chicken fried rice was good and affordable. The yum yum sauce is good. Service is great. Atmosphere is nice. The down side is the vegetables - the portions are are small. Try a least once

My mother and I decided to try this place traveled all the way to it sat down and was told because it's Sunday we can't have lunch menu even though we arrived at 11. Just another way to stick it to the church crowd.
