“Any place that smashes their burgers with a brick trowel gets an A+ 100% from me! I don't know how in the world these people manage to work so hard and still treat their customers friendly as if we're family as well. Highly recommend the cheeseburgers with fries and an ice cold bottle of Ski! I will say it again, I know it must be tough and stressful working as hard as they do.. but when it comes to customer service, they really put their inner feelings aside and treat you special! I really respect everyone in this establishment. Regardless of what anyone is going through, they provide high quality service and great tasting food every single time! I did not want to fail to give each one of these fine people the recognition they deserve! I will definitely be coming back anytime I'm in Hodgenville and they are open! I live towards Hardinsburg, but Laha's Red Castle is worth the trip everytime!”

“I have frequented this establishment since they first opened at the previous location.I must say that they have improved consistently over the years. In years past my reviews said that they needed to work on the sides. More recently I will say that the sides are quite good. I love the addition of the corn bread as I never felt like the Texas toast was executed to suit me. The meats have always been good. I used to go for the meats and just curb my expectations on the sides but now I enjoy all of it.I hate to leave the review on a negative note but I have to address their sign. While the quip about liking their butts being rubbed is suggestive and funny, it doesn't go too far. Having that image in a child's mind who reads the sign isn't so bad I guess. However, I think the part about liking their pork pulled is very gross. I feel like it's too crude for a public sign by a daycare. I realize this can go over a child's head but I don't think it's needed.”

“While visiting Hodgenville Kayla’s was recommended by Vickie at The Sweet Shoppe as a great place to get a burger. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. We were promptly greeted by a smiling young lady named Alison who told us to pick any table. She gave us menus & answered all our questions. The sweetest tea in the South was quickly brought to our table. Our burgers and fries, fresh & hot, arrived shortly after we placed our order. Allison made sure our cups stayed full, checking in on us several times while we ate and chatted. If you are ever in Hodgenville this is definitely the place to go to.Kid-friendliness: There is a game room area.”

“This place is truly a hidden jem from the second I walked in the smells overtook me and I felt like the cartoon character floating towards that great smelling pie in the window sill. the pizza was definitely some of the best I've ever had it was the perfect combo of the crispy outside to the soft inside. the flavor was great and the atmosphere was vary interesting to just look around in and the workers were super friendly and welcoming and the prices were unbeatable i went with me and one other person and we only paid 25 for both of us. so if your ever near one and thinking about dropping by I definitely would recommend it.Ps just a quick tip if your a person that likes pizza on the more crispy side I'd recommend asking then if they could give the pizza a little more time in the oven.”

“Something happened last visit. It was like they lost our order. We called from the parking lot twice as we had ordered all dark meat. One of the sides was not what they ordered. Any place can have a bad day. It is what they do about it when it happens that define the good places. They apologized in what seemed sincere to me. Unasked, they gave us a coupon for about what half of our order was. It was at a somewhat busy time. I will be going back.”

“There is a lady there called sister Hannah Walker, and she is the brightest, most friendly, genuine, kind, respectful, and caring employee I have ever seen at any McDonald's in the world! She is like a shining beam of light in this dark World of fast food. She has an amazing smile that will brighten up anybody's day immediately! I highly recommend the managers never fire her, and the customers give her a generous tip because she definitely deserves it! I will be coming back and taking my friends and family! Best way to experience a McDonald's.. I highly recommend it!”

“Will say that since the newer owners or new management either one I have returned to coming to this sub way again. Service might be super slow but they do quality sandwiches and are not rude. Plus I like the supreme meats sandwich that is now offered!”

“Tiny hole in the wall taco shop. Smells amazing from the outside and that was enough to get us in the door to try it. Atmosphere was warm and inviting. I got the carnitas tacos with cilantro, lime, onion, and then a Mexican Coke on the side. Phenomenal. Their sauces will light you up, too, so if you're up for a little warmth, be sure to get some.Fish tacos? The bomb.Chicken tacos? Superb.Nachos? “Very nice ice cream place. The ice cream and gelato were very flavorful. There weren't a lot of options to choose from but everything I tasted was very good. They also had a few dairy-free options if you need that. There was plenty of seating where you can sit and enjoy your ice cream and company.Dietary restrictions: They had 3 dairy free options including 2 sorbets and a chocolate ice cream made from coconut milk.”

“Customer service was awesome and very welcoming. The brisket was good as well as the Mexican corn salad, Mac and cheese and cornbread. The ribs were decent they were flavored nicely and smokey. The pulled pork was dry, the bun was stale and the potato salad was horrible but that might be a personal preference. The potato cubes were hard and crunchy where I prefer more done potatoes. For the price point I did expect better.”

“This place really hit the spot when we came. We had come from a long day of hiking a few hours away and we were starving. We immediately started out with some chips and queso which were delicious. We all got our entrees and didn't really talk much we just focused on the food. The food was pretty tasty! The staff was also really nice and accommodating, especially since we had a couple of kids with us. Overall this is a very solid option in Etown when you're looking for some Mexican food with a chill atmosphere.”
