I recently went here with a coworker on our lunch break. We were waited on and served promptly. The food and portions were great! We even had time to talk before going back to the office!

Javier usually seats us, he's hilarious. He makes sure everyone is "happy happy ". The whole staff is very welcoming, the service is phenomenal and I can't say enough about how good the food is. No matter the size of your party, indoors or outside, you won't regret enjoying your meal here!

The food here was absolutely amazing and the service was even better. I really loved how good the food was. I also found the staff kind and everybody there was the service staff was super helpful and friendly. Our servers name was Alfredo or at least that's what it said on the receipt and he was kind and helpful. The food came out very quick and on a busy weekend day, I highly recommend this place very authentic Mexican food can't go wrong. We each got something different on the menu. There were six different plates in front of us all top notch.

Food was very bland.Tomatoes and peppers in my Hawain Fajita tasted spoiled. The shrimp had a very distinct and overwhelming fish taste.

What a nice relaxing place, my wife and I were in Hodgeville, found this gem. So let's start with the Decor, super cool!Clean, colorful, Mexican music, it's all there! Service? Top notch! Our waiter was attentive but not hovering, polite, took care of all our needs! Now, food-- Great! Now, it struggles with what most Mexican restaurants in our area does, weak, no spice salsa, it has flavor, no heat but there are spices at the table that you can use with a little creativity to make you own level of spice, tortilla chips were good, crunchy and abundant. My wife ordered the Flauta's from the lunch menu and I ordered the 3 enchiladas from the lunch menu, with a side of rice and beans as my lunch did not have those included, the plates presented well and tasted fresh and had great flavors, Pepsi served in a tall glass with refills, made for a great day after seeing Abraham Lincoln's birthplace, we do recommend.

Excellent lunch! We stopped here after touring the Lincoln Birthplace and memorial on our vacation. The place was busy with local workers and grandma's with little kids (summer break). Our server was very attentive and provided us with everything we needed. Loved the fresh salsas, both mild and medium. Chips were fresh and hot. We both had items from the lunch menu which were the perfect amount of food. My Chile Relleno and beef taco were excellent. Hubby ordered flautitas and said was very good. Unlikely we will return to this area, but definitely would recommend this place for lunch.

Found in Hodgensville across from Famous Recipe, Little Mexico is a locally owned restaurant that makes the best fresh Mexican food around. Best Salsa, Best Margaritas, Best Tacos, Burritos, and Enchiladas! We come here weekly and drive from E-town. Nothing we have found in Hardin County can touch Little Mexico for class and excellence. Juan, Javier and Diego will make sure your visit is as special as mine.

The food here is really good, plus it's priced reasonably for portion size. They usually have a short wait because all the locals eat here. Worth the 10 minute wait.

Not a lot of other restaurants open so the universe apparently wanted us to eat here and the universe knew what it was doing. Food was tasty, service was fast and professional, atmosphere was (as advertised) very Mexican. Also excellent value for the food both in taste and quantity.

Little Mexico is in the enviable position of being one of the few true restaurants in Hodgenville, which is a double-edged sword. No competition means a built in client base, but it also means there is no one challenging you to improve your performance. Having dined here a half dozen times, the one word that comes to mind to describe my experiences here is "inconsistent". I have enjoyed some excellent meals here, as well as some OK meals. Their menu is large and includes items not found on many of the local area Mexican restaurants. Tonight I had Street Tacos Pastor, with beans and rice. The plating was excellent, but the food was underwhelming. The pork was perfectly seasoned, but overcooked. The beans were tasteless. The complimentary chips and salsa, however, were incredible! Fresh, with a strong taste of cilantro, the salsa was the hit of the meal. The restaurant was spotless, and the servers friendly, but the checkout employee acted as if I was a distraction to him. Pricing is about what I would expect for a local Mexican restaurant. Overall, I feel that once they can deliver excellent food consistently then Little Mexico will make it into my rotation of favorite local restaurants.

If you're like me, and didn't know what a Molcajete is, you need to check it out here. It's a traditional Mexican bowl that looks like a bigger version of the bowl that is in a mortar & pestel. Only here, it's filled with a variety of meaty goodness. I got the Molcajete norteno. It has steak, chicken, chorizo, nopales, queso fresco and a side of rice and black beans. Honestly, two people would be hard pressed to finish it and needles to say, I took home a big box for the next day.Not only is the menu full of surprises like Molcajete, but it's a colorful, charming and super clean restaurant, right down to the bathroom. The service is efficient and fast and my only time gripe is the host/waiter could be a tad warmer. We will definitely be back to try some more of that monster menu!
