I regularly stop at this McDonald’s on my commute because of its convenient location, but the experience is consistently disappointing. The service is always slow, even when placing a mobile order, and almost every time I’m asked to pull ahead and wait.
I typically order a double cheeseburger with extra onions, yet without fail, it arrives with fewer onions than the standard portion. I’ve overlooked this recurring issue in the past, but today was worse than usual — my fries were cold and soggy, and my Diet Coke tasted flat. McDonald’s is known for having the best, crisp fountain sodas, so that was especially frustrating.
Despite multiple attempts to provide feedback and request improvements, nothing ever changes at this location. The lack of consistency and care makes this one of the least reliable McDonald’s I’ve visited.

It’s actually ridiculous to make someone wait 15 minutes for 1 hash brown. If you would have told me at the speaker there was a hash brown problem I would have told you to keep it. Thanks, I’m very late 🙂

Rude staff, dirty tables, incorrect drink order. Probably won’t be back. All of the staff were taking up the tables, none of them were even doing anything except a few people, way over staffed for a Tuesday morning it seemed.

They don't close at 11pm. They clearly close when they feel like it. I showed up at 10:47. Normally I wouldn't go that late, but worked a 14 hour shift and just wanted a cheeseburger and fries. Nobody answered the drive-thru so I pulled around. There was another car at the second window. I stopped at the first. There was someone there, but ignored me. Stayed right around the corner. So I pulled up and waited. The other car, and someone at that window were talking. But, now, it was after 11 so I drove off.
That was the last trip I will have. The service has been getting worse at this location for a long time. Calling the main office does nothing. They could care less. In a town with only 3 other fast food chains, they don't need to care, and they clearly don't.
McDonald's should move out of Hodgenville and let a customer focused company move in.

The crew is great the manager is great. I used a birthday code from the app and the manager Nathan said happy birthday to me. Y'all are great been thru here a couple of times and never had a problem. Will be coming back!!!!!

Third and last time this year we have been here and it has been horrible, every time. Cold food after waiting over 20 minutes. Missing food. After we had to go back in the inside was filthy as well as the bathroom. Won't be back here.

The worst set in the drive thru line waiting just to be waited on for almost 15 minutes then after I finally ordered waiting in the line for 30 minutes

I always went day but I went 10 pm tonight it was awful I order a sprite they gave me a water the fish wasn't no good fries was ok out of the whole meal fries was all I could eat didn't even get my drink right

Half of my bun was tore off, half of our food was missing, and the establishment was gross. Both dead and alive bugs in the window sills, trash all over the floors, cups on every table, tables weren’t wiped down that were clear, and the bathroom was gross as well. The toilets had feces on them that hadn’t been cleaned off in a while. Made me nauseous sitting inside trying to eat. Lost my appetite.

Nicholas Kabalen just got home from mowing after work tonight (10:00PM) so he picked up McDonalds for dinner at the one in Hodgenville.
We are sitting here eating, half way done with our meal and I reach to grab a fry and see this HUGE bug. It immediately made me sick. Guess that’s a sign I should eat healthier now. 😂
Nick called the McDonalds, to politely ask for a refund since we did a mobile order, and the “manager” told us to bring in the food with the bug in it, that was the only way we could get a refund.
I called the McDonalds back and asked for a manager, again politely, and he says “Uhhh yeah you’re speakin to one!!!” Well it sure didn’t sound like it. He told me again, the only way to get a refund was to bring in the food that had the bug. He said it was hard to believe that there was a bug in my fries. Well, here it is and I hope he sees this! He was quite literally the rudest person I have ever interacted with.
I told him there was no way I was driving all the way there to show him this bug at 10:00 at night. He told me I could come in the morning instead! Needless to say I would never go to this McDonalds in Hodgenville.

Received my food 35 minutes after I placed my order, no response in the first lane of drive through at all for about 15 minutes so moved to second lane, sat in the line for about 10 more minutes and received half empty McFlurrys and burnt cookies. I got out of the drive through and went inside to not hold up the line and just politely asked if it could be remade or refunded because I get mistakes happen when it gets busy, guy had an attitude the entire time and asked if I wanted to wait 12 minutes for new cookies and then told us to just toss the food when I asked if I could get a refund instead. Both the manager and separate employee had an attitude the entire time and was just passive aggressive.

The store was well over staffed today with other 10 people working. The assistant manager was a the rudest person I ever met. First refused to give me the discount from the code for 20% off because the order was deleted on there end due to the headset not working correctly and having to order at the window.
So instead of $23 i was charged full price. Then had to wait 45 minutes for my food just for them not to give me everything.
I went back in and told them they didn’t give me my chicken nuggets and the manager said “there’s only been one 20 piece ordered and you didn’t order that.
I ordered the classic Big Mac pack which comes with 20 nuggets. I waited 10 more minutes and watched her give more people chicken nuggets before I said something again and someone else finally got them to me after an hour of waiting.
Normally this McDonald is good but who ever made that woman a manager should reconsider.
If I could go lower than a star I would.
Lately this location has gotten worse and worse.
