Did a tour today, and Jim was a wonderful tour guide! He was so knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor.
Great tour with Jim! Learned a lot, and had some GREAT whiskey at the end!
I would highly recommend the Boone County Distillery. I've driven by the area dozens of times over the last few years, but finally took the time to stop. The tour and history were both really well done. Most importantly, the whiskey is excellent. My personal favorite was the Toasted Cask whiskey. I've toured many distilleries over the years and I'd put this one in the top five, which includes Maker's, Woodford, and Buffalo Trace. Well worth a visit!

Boone County Distilling Co & Event Center offers a personal and engaging experience. The Grain to Glass tour is fantastic and informative, providing a lot of interesting information on the production of bourbon with Boone County history tidbits throughout. The smaller setup makes it easy to follow the entire process, and the tour feels intimate without feeling small in a bad way. The tour guides are sharp, friendly, and knowledgeable, answering all questions and showing things not seen at other distilleries. The tasting is a nice touch, with pours that are solid and flavors that are very good. The Amburana Bourbon is a standout product. As an event center, the venue is beautiful and a perfect setting for parties. For a party of 80, the staff is phenomenal, easy to work with, and handles everything. The whole experience is informative, laid back, and memorable all at once, with great products and super friendly and helpful personal.
