I think things have changed in Lexington when it comes to service after the pandemic. When we arrived tge hostess told us to sit “wherever” Our meals at Staves were okay. My fried chicken was unsalted but fair with the sides. No salt shakers on table. My dining companion had the lamb chops. They were good but sides were not. My collard greens were not hot at all. Food and service was great! At 6pm over the summer the sun beams through the windows and is blinding, even with the shades down. The restaurant had great ambiance but was very hot and stuffy. Drinks were good! Overall a great experience.
Staves is located in a beautiful area. The restaurant has a wall of glass that allows a full outdoor view which is lovely. The restaurant is beautiful, somewhat intimate, but appropriate for families or couples or business dinners. The service was excellent, server was pleasant and knowledgeable.
