Everything at Honeywoood is done with such beautiful intentionality, like all of a Ouita Michel’s creations. It is no accident that you feel surrounded by Kentucky history, agriculture and the arts when you enter any of her establishments. The food is no exception. The corn fritters were just excellent and two of my friends had the shrimp and grits that was very good eye on the other hand had the pork chop and I was a bit disappointed. It was not as Tinder as I had expected, and so therefore a little chewer than I thought it should've been. I have had better. The service was very good although one of my friends order was forgotten so overall a slight disappointment.
I went to a wine and food pairing event, and it was a blast! We had four different wines, and for each one, there was a bite that was both creative and fun. Plus, they all went perfectly with the wine.

Honeywood Restaurant offers a farm-to-table experience with a good variety of wholesome, uniquely prepared dishes. The friendly service and locally sourced food have impressed diners, who recommend trying the adventurous menu, including the popular steak frites. The beetloaf was an AMAZING veggie option, and the Brussels sprouts and duck were also loved by diners. The classic southern fare was executed well, and creative culinary inventions like harissa spiced mushrooms with whipped feta were the perfect accompaniment. The cocktails were tasty, and the wine was a perfect complement. The restaurant provides a friendly dining experience with outstanding food.
