We went last year around this time of the year. They only had take out. Staff was friendly and food was good. You get a lot for what you park for. The location was convenient. So sad to hear they’re relocating. It looked like nice inside. We heard good things about them when visited. I hope to hear good things from the new location. Would recommend them.

I have always loved Alfalfa I was born in 1973 in Lexington KY so we share a birthday, I attended a album release party for an local artist.The atmosphere was cool , I don't eat meat so I can't wait to go back and have vegetarian meal....

HIGHLY recommend checking this place out! It's Vegan friendly, I got the big breakfast with (vegan) toast with butter, sausage, egg and fried potatoes. So delicious! I was fortunate enough to pop in while they had live music also. The staff was so friendly, welcoming and kind. I will be coming back again! They also have (vegan) French toast! It was a close call on what to order, I will definitely try that next time!!

We haven't been able to try this restaurant during any of our visits here due to the different hours because of COVID. We purchased a Groupon and we were very excited to use it. We live two+ hours away so we made a special trip here - only to find out that they're currently open one (???) day a week until 2. I'm not even sure if that's accurate but that's my best guess based off of the different information I've found online. We were stuck in traffic and I began to call at 1:30 to purchase an order to go so that we could pick it up before they close at 2. No one answered any of the calls. We arrived at 1:50 and the door was locked. They allowed the woman that was in front of us in the building. If they're going to "close" at 1:30, then they shouldn't post that they're open until 2. I understand that there are COVID restrictions but I haven't even been able to speak to anyone or find a straight answer online. Needless to say, we received a refund for the Groupon to spend somewhere else.

I like Alfalfa because no matter who I'm with and what their dietary restrictions are - this place works. Good food, good art, and occasionally live music.Give this Lexington spot a shot.

The staff was very nice and obviously trying their best to readjust since COVID but it was extremely slow and the food was truly very bad. We waited for an hour and half for our food which was just shrimp and grits & French toast. The shrimp were burnt and one was still cold/frozen in the middle (also seemed like precooked shrimp), the grits were undercooked, and it seemed none of this dish had any seasoning on it - not even salt. The French toast was also uncooked in the middle for some pieces so it was not left on the griddle long enough and also didn't have much flavor. We were also told we would be comped for our meal and we're still charged. I realize it's a hard time to be operating a restaurant, but I hope the owners can improve past this.

I'm so happy to be back at Alfalfa's! They are so accommodating and the food is absolutely fabulous. Fancy, the manager, and my server Brook were phenomenal. I cannot recommend alphalpha's highly enough. Check them out you will not be disappointed!!! 10/10 recommend!!

highly recommend Alfalfa Restaurant!!! Had a church meeting yesterday there and the crew was amazing, the food delicious and atmosphere welcoming! The owner was eager to make our experience wonderful! I am most impressed by their desire to support local farmers and businesses. They are very aware of issues with food insecurity and I was impressed by their knowledge and desire to make their business a hub for making changes where they can. We will be back!

I was blown away by the service I received today at Alfalfa's. I am saddened to say I've not visited since the new owners; I can say without hesitation I'll be back many more times to come. I had the opportunity after my meal to spend a few moments with one of the owners, and he was a delight to see the fruit of the work he and his wife have done to carry the name of a tiny local staple that is a deep part of Lexington downtown life. I had vegan meat for the first time and farm-to-table vegetables that the owners and others at the store travel for hours, sometimes to ensure that black farmers across Kentucky in other areas are supported. In addition to those travels, they also ensure that the vegetables and other products they use are locally sourced and grown in Kentucky. The food was superb (vegan bacon and sausage ), but the staff

We had so much fun organizing this event for my church the management staff owners did such a wonderful job welcoming BUCC to brunch today you must check this restaurant out Cassandra is the manager and she is wonderful making sure that we all were well taken care of we will do this again soon
