There are very few bars in Lexington that have specialty cocktails that compare to Belle’s! The history behind the building is intriguing! I spent my most recent birthday on their rooftop in a vip section that was delivered with respect and accuracy. Security has always made me feel safe if/when there have been males/females that were overly disrespectful. The staff is as attentive as possible, considering the high volume of costumers they have to serve. If you can handle a high volume bar, with a high standard for cocktails, service, and security, I highly recommend!

Horrifying and unsafe experience — avoid at all costs. I came here with friends and ended up having one of the most traumatic nights of my life. While helping a friend look for her lost phone, I was suddenly grabbed by multiple staff members with no explanation. As a Hispanic woman, I couldn’t help but notice how I was singled out. When I asked if my race was the reason, no one answered — they just gripped my arms so hard it hurt and dragged me outside. I have never been treated with such aggression or disrespect in a public place. I left shaken, humiliated, and feeling unsafe. If you value basic human dignity, do not support this business.

Not wheelchair friendly at all and I’m not just talking about no elevators. I’m talking security and staff. Very rude and nasty, that was prior to them approaching the individual in the wheelchair. We were not with him but trying to help and our entire group was kicked out. Apparently prior to him entering the venue the guy at the door said he had to make sure it was allowed because he was in a wheelchair. Woody was the worst of the security team, getting nasty with the guy and us for trying to help get the guy a ride to leave. Will never be back. I understand not having an elevator but the way they approached and handled the situation was absolutely uncalled for.
The interior design is undeniably pretty: all sleek lines, moody lighting, and Instagram-friendly vibes. The rooftop promises a classy night out, but in practice, it felt more like a college pregame in heels and button-downs. We walked in just in time to witness someone’s completely sloshed friend being helped—read: hoisted—down the stairs by their party, and while the staff seemed nice enough, they were far more invested in watching the scene than in helping us get a drink.
Upstairs, the rooftop DJ was spinning loud club beats to a nearly empty space, save for a few scattered patrons and what felt like an overstaffed security team.
That said, shoutout to the bartenders—true professionals in the middle of what felt like a night out for a campus Greek formal. They clearly knew their craft and carried themselves with the kind of calm and skill that only comes from real service industry experience.
I might give it another shot on a quieter night.
