Big Blue Deli is a small sandwich shop downtown near Transylvania University. It has an eclectic array of memorabilia of UK Basketball history. Golf clubs, other types of possessions of past players, coaches. Service was very friendly and accommodating. The place is small so if busy you may have a little bit of a wait but they hustle. Food is above average and freshly made. Not much seating so recommend to do a take out order during lunch.

One of the best restaurants I've found in Lexington! It's truly a hole in the wall, but in all the best ways. The sandwiches are to die for and there are new specials every day. I've tried four different sandwiches now and each time I've thought "this is the best sandwich ever". I guess I need to make my way through the menu to give a definitive answer, but I highly recommend Big Blue Deli!

This place is gold! Love the nostalgia. The sandwiches all look amazing and I opted for The Runt. Pastrami & Corned Beef with kraut & 1000 island on rye. It was so tasty. I gotta try all of the sammiches now.
The French dip was the special today and it was great! Boars Head quality beef and the dipping sauce is the best I've ever had. Also, super cool place with tons of memorabilia and a super friendly owner. Give this place a try!

Stopped in for first time today; game day. Great decor; welcoming atmosphere; small and intimate; clear menu with lots of deli choices, but each order is made for you. I had turkey and cheese on Rye (rye is hard to find at most delis) and had it toasted. My son had the spicey chicken #78 I think and LOVED it. He could have eaten two tho ;) Great experience; we will be back. Go CATS; beat 'whomever we are playing'!
