One of the best restaurants I've found in Lexington! It's truly a hole in the wall, but in all the best ways. The sandwiches are to die for and there are new specials every day. I've tried four different sandwiches now and each time I've thought "this is the best sandwich ever". I guess I need to make my way through the menu to give a definitive answer, but I highly recommend Big Blue Deli!
This place is gold! Love the nostalgia. The sandwiches all look amazing and I opted for The Runt. Pastrami & Corned Beef with kraut & 1000 island on rye. It was so tasty. I gotta try all of the sammiches now.

Big Blue Deli is a small sandwich shop downtown near Transylvania University. It has an eclectic array of memorabilia of UK Basketball history. Golf clubs, other types of possessions of past players, coaches. Service was very friendly and accommodating. The place is small so if busy you may have a little bit of a wait but they hustle. Food is above average and freshly made. Not much seating so recommend to do a take out order during lunch.
