We went on the Sunday night of Labor Day weekend and they were short staffed. Matthew was AMAZING. Totally chill. Totally personable. Handled it all and the food was outstanding!! So good. Tell me another server who could handle an entire restaurant himself and do it with a smile. What an asset to support a great restaurant on a rough day.

Horrific experience at Cru in the Summit last night:
When we arrived we ordered a charcuterie board, lettuce wraps, and a salad, along with drinks. We were told a few minutes later that the lettuce wraps are only available during happy hour, totally fine, so then we order a pizza. The charcuterie board and salad came out within 15 minutes. We waited for the personal sized pizza to come out for over an hour. There were only 3 other tables seated in the restaurant the entire time.
While we waited, the waitress checked in several times. At one point when we asked if we should order something else she said, “The cook is just really tired and we’re trying to not make him mad.” Around the 1 hour mark, she said the manager was going to come apologize and comp the pizza. He did not come to the table during this time. He was standing in the kitchen leaning against the counter the entire time, not doing anything other than talking to the cook. This was in direct view of our table.
The waitress asked if we wanted to order something else, but then she walked off without taking our order after we asked to glance at a menu again. She then brings out the pizza, and does not try to take our order for anything additional. We ask for ranch, they are out. 10 minutes goes by and she asks how we want to split our check. The manager has still not been to our table, and she did not say anything about comping anything at this point. I asked to speak with the manager. She goes to speak to him, he still does not come to our table. He sends her back to tell us that he is only willing to comp the pizza, not anything else. At this point it isn’t about the cost or food, it is about his unwillingness to speak to us and for putting this waitress through it instead. I asked to speak with him again.
He finally comes over about 10 minutes later and asks what the issue is and says, yeah I know the kitchen was slow tonight. There was no apology or offer of anything from him. I said well this is more about the fact we were told you would come speak to us and you never made the time to do so. He said he never said that and he doesn’t know why the waitress would have told us that. At this point, I asked for the meal to be comped. He said it was illegal to comp drinks, but he guessed he would comp the food. We said that was absolutely fine. He leaves the table, we wait 15 more minutes for the check. During this time, he is talking to the wait staff by the bar, in direct view of our table. No one is working on getting the check. I finally walked over with my card and asked if we could please pay the check. He said “we’re working on it.” I then told them that they either needed to run my card right then or we would be leaving (my patience ran out around the 90 minute mark). He walked off. The waitress ran my card, and I tipped her 15 dollars on 40 since it was not her fault.
Absolutely appalling leadership from whoever this manager was last night.

Extraordinarily slow kitchen service and horrifically rude manager who clearly treats his wait staff poorly.
We have been here a couple of times, so not sure why it wasn't at the level we expected. We did get a call at 8:30 about our 9pm reservation as they said the kitchen was closing at 8:45pm, even though the website said 10pm. We were staying close so I ran down within the 5 minutes the manager said I had in order to place a dinner order. Made it just in time so we got to order dinner, however, I think we all know how ordering dinner at the kitchen closing time goes ... let's just say the food was not at the level expected. Service was great, a big thanks to Zach for making it a better experience than it was going to be. He did an awesome job!! Might give them another shot at a different time, but there are a lot of other nice restaurants as well.
Service was ok. Our server was slow and they were not busy. The wine is very good and the food is pretty good not great. It is a bit expensive for what you get. We all liked the wine flights. Great atmosphere!
The BEST margarita pizza I've ever had. Honestly. What is in the crust?! Don't tell me, I don't care, but I highly recommend. Had a chilled Cabernet and enjoyed the ambience. The bartender/server, Dolores, is an absolutely peach! I don't live here but when I visit I will be back!

A beautiful evening outside at CRU! The jazz music was lovely and created a great atmosphere. Food was good and service was great. However nothing was quick which was fine for us but just don't expect to hurry! Will certainly go back this summer when music is scheduled again. (Would suggest they stock the condiments for bar with cherries and limes or make a quick trip to Whole Foods to pick up what they need)
We celebrated Father's Day at CRU and had the BEST time! The food was delicious and the service was even better. Morgan was so much fun and she was just the sweetest thing; she made our experience very special. We will definitely return and bring some friends!
My mother and I had the chef’s special (chicken verde) and it was absolutely delicious. The meal paired with how attentive our server was (Zach) made for delightful experience. Thank you!

Another fun and delicious tasting experience at Cru! The champagne flight was a special treat; the paired dishes were outstanding. They were so good we all wanted more of the food, but knew that it was designed as a small plate experience. Our server was friendly and fun. Highly recommend this to do with friends, family or a significant other for a unique and enjoyable experience.

Worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant, truly. They absolutely ruined my Mother's Day. First off when I arrived, the hostess was no where to be found and was laughing getting flowers from friends who stopped by. I had to have a waiter check me in for my reservation. As my waiter walked me to my table, another waitress barked at me yelling "no walk ins!" and insisted I leave. Mind you I had a reservation booked for over a week at this point. My poor waiter had to defend me to another waitress and apologized on her behalf, how embarrassing. On top of that, they were out of quite literally everything. The drinks we wanted to order, the food we asked for, they were out of EVERYTHING. On Mother's Day. Funny thing is we asked for peach bellini's and they said they were out, meanwhile we caught another waitress making the drink and she informed us they didn't run out, they just couldn't find the ingredients to make the drink. After 40 minutes of waiting, my mom and I had received no food and we had to leave so we spent about a good 10 minutes trying to flag down a waitress because our waiter was nowhere to be seen. During this, other tables began complaining about the long wait time on food and the hostess took it upon herself to announce that there was only a handful of staff working the kitchen and everyone was going to have to wait for food. I've seen more poise and etiquette at a gas station. Oh did I mention we were paying $48 a person for this "experience"? Ridiculous. We couldn't even get the check for our drinks so we left $30, well over what the drinks were priced, and booked it. My poor mother just wanted a nice brunch and instead was given a disgusting display of unprofessionalism at it's finest. If you want trash wait staff who scream at customers and a kitchen staff that can't get their meals together, then this is the place for you!

Reservation for 3 at 1:30pm for Mother's Day Brunch. Was seated at 1:15 pm. Great. New waitress, which is fine! Took our order, off fixed menu for brunch. Also fine! Brought out 1 appetizer, then waited 20 minutes for next 2 appetizers. Explained to waitress that we had appointment at 3pm. Still waiting on entrees and more water! for maybe an hour! Asked Hostess/Busser? about wait. Said kitchen backed up, was rude and defensive to me. I again asked waitress about order and WATER. She was nice. Asked other person again and she was very rude and asked if I was wanting to leave. I asked to speak to manager. Manager came to table and I explained our situation and asked to get our desserts ready to go and check ready, b/c we would need to leave before 3pm. They brought out our entrees finally. We quickly ate. They took off one entree. But I explained I would not return. Good food. Overpriced for the terrible service. Do not blame new waitress at all. CRU was not prepared for a reservation day with a limited menu!? How?
It seems like they were understaffed and having issues with the kitchen getting food out on time. For a pre-fix Mother's Day menu I was expecting faster service. Took 45 minutes to get our starter and another 45 minutes for our entree.
This is our third time at CRU, we always have good food and satisfactory service but on our last visit the staff was exceptional. We had two babies under 11mos and multiple waitresses as well as other staff were very accommodating, friendly and we really enjoyed our meal. Thank you for making us feel welcome!
My wife and I had a 8:45 reservation. On a non busy Sunday night the waitress made it her business to tell us she was the only server working and that she would be with us in a second. She proceeded to take an additional 20 minutes to get to us. By the time she was ready to take our order the kitchen was shut down. I feel like she could have led with "Hey the kitchen closes in a few minutes," instead of wasting our time.
