Great atmosphere. Food was ok but makes better bar setting. Employees were awesome though.

A fun place! The staff is friendly and the music's good.
I would have given 5 stars if they had nachos ! sooooo disappointed there aren’t nachos. Nobody cares about grilled cheese please bring back the nachos pleaaasseeee
I like the bar and food. Sometimes they have live bands which is nice. Sometimes they have DJs, for which I'm the wrong demographic now. My kids might like it though.
Bartender was most chill. Stopped in at 8:00 on a Friday night and this place was DEAD which is actually exactly how I like it. They make a bunch of their fruit syrups in house and the Strawberry French 75 was ???. Bourbon selection looks really solid, they've got a variety of BTAC products, Weller, E.H. Taylor, and Pappy.
I always have a great time at Elixir. They have an awesome staff and the side window food is beyond delicious. I highly recommend.
First Club I have been to since moving to Kentucky. What a fun and outgoing crowd. From the minute I walked up to the 3 security workers at the front door until I left at 2:30 am the whole entire staff was very professional and polite. The DJ that came on after the Amazing Blues band opened the Energy was Alive! Most everyone was dancing and smiling all night! A+ all the way! Thank you Everyone for a night I will never forget.
New to Kentucky. Was looking for a nice, clean, fun atmosphere and my God did I get what I was looking for and more. From the minute I got to the door I was met by three really professional, kind bouncers. Then was emediatly feeling the live atmosphere from the crowd and the Awsome live band playing. About 9pm band stopped playing and the Badass DJ started setting up. From the first mix to the last, what Talent! Hip-Hop mostly. Got very busy and still no problems arose. A+ staff and crowd. A night to remember. Thanks to everyone who works hear. Michael T.
Loved this place! What a weird little mix... was able to watch the UK football game with the sound on, then get some delicious tacos/quesadillas, enjoy happy hour til 9p on a Saturday, and then switch into club mode with a DJ. 10/10 highly recommend!
By far worst bar in town. Extremely rude bouncers. Don’t waste your money

Highly recommend Elixir! They were able to accommodate a large group last minute. The service was just high standard from start to finish. Security was a joy as they worked with management to accommodate our large group. Brandon, bartender, volunteered to give our table personal service as he was tending to other guests at the bar. Management material for sure. Manager cracked jokes with our table. So many staff members checked in on our table frequently. We had live music and great good and drinks. Would definitely come back!!
Food Fun Adventure Weekend took Fat Man Reviews to ELIXIR Downtown in Lexington, Ky. ELIXIR offers locally sourced elevated cuisine, live music and a full bar.I opened with an Old Fashioned. This was made with Old Forester, Demerara sugar, house made bitters, filthy cherry and flamed orange peel. The drink was pretty strong, slightly sweet and tasty. We started with the Pulled Pork nachos made with pork, queso, pico de gallo and pickled onions. The pork is smoked in house, it was tender, juicy and seasoned well. The queso was delicious, creamy tangy and slightly salty. You could drink this by the bowl. The onions tasted like fresh cut, not pickled, which would have been a nice addition. The chips were yellow corn and thick enough to support a loaded chip. This was a wonderful dish.I also tried The Bees Knees. This was made with Buffalo Trace, fresh lemon juice and honey. It really reminded me of fresh lemonade. The drink is sweet, smooth and refreshing. My fiancé even liked it.I had the Smoked Reuben, served with fries. This was made with house smoked pastrami, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, house made dressing on toasted marble rye. The pastrami was excellent and had superb smoky flavor. The kraut was salty with a slight tang, the cheese was nutty and sweet, the house sauce, like a thousand island, was good, but the sandwich needed a little more to round out the entire bite. The bread was fresh and earthy. The fries were fried well, and they were crunchy and salted perfectly. My only knock was that the bread needed a little more of a toast on it.My fiancé had the Chicken Shogun Tacos. These are made with teriyaki chicken, grilled mushroom, onions, zucchini, topped with yum yum sauce and served with chips and queso. The chicken was tender and juicy, the teriyaki and yum yum sauce added a sweetness but was not over powering, the vegetables were cooked well and added a salty touch to the sweet tacos. This was a great dish.ELIXIR Downtown is a new joint that offers a seasonal but very small menu. They do offer brunch, dinner and a late night menu. They highly recommend the wings, when they have them. ELIXIR Downtown is Fat Man Approved.
Nice space. Great for live music. Some of the best overall sound in the bluegrass! Great bar and food selection. Friendly staff!
Easily one of the best bars in downtown lex. From top notch entertainment, great food, and bartenders that make some of the best cocktails this one place you can’t miss.
Great food and great drinks! Hannah was an awesome bartender! Highly recommend for brunch or just a random pop in.
