I wish I could eat here every day for the rest of my life. Maria’s food is absolutely incredible and she is one of the most lovely people I’ve ever met ❤️ My husband and I travel from an hour away just to treat ourselves at this restaurant. The best part, she sells things frozen so we can stock up on tamales and pozole to reheat at home! Hands down 5 stars we love Maria’s!

Would give Maria 10 stars if I could!! From the atmosphere to the food to the truly welcoming heart that Maria has, this was such a great experience. I wish I took photos of our food before we dug in. We tried a few different tamales, the pork tacos, rice & beans and the chicken mole. Holy cow. It was all so flavorful and prepared with care. Before we left we purchased some pozole to take home…it was delicious. It came with a large container of pozole and broth as well as a fresh pack of tostadas, lime and avocado. Couldn’t have had a better experience! We will absolutely be back!

Maria is super nice and inviting, food is 1000% amazing, and it looks like she made a lot the stuff in her shop, very neat place. Worth the stop!

My favorite tamales in Lexington. I am especially partial to the black beans. Maria is so kind. The shop also offers lots of art to look at. We keep some of these tamales in the freezer at all times

Maria is so sweet, she greeted me on my arrival, made several recommendations and served my food hot and delicious. Her tamales are so delicious, I tried the beef, chicken and pork ha ha ones and enjoyed them all. I bought a half dozen home to share with my family. Reasonably priced. Make sure you visit this place!

PLEASE eat here if you are in the Lexington area. The tamales are excellent and Maria is a treasure. Wish I could have tried everything. My friend got a beautiful shirt painted by Maria. I took a sac of tamales home on the plane. Thank you, Maria 🌞
