Went here for dinner with my parents. My food was good, but a bit pricey, especially considering the size of it. I ordered the salmon, and it was fresh and delicious. However, my dad ordered a steak, medium. The steak he received was rare. My mom ordered the pork, and it was also rare, to the point where she felt uncomfortable eating it. When we asked about sending the pork back, because it was basically inedible, the manager was a bit condescending. They did still take the pork off the bill, but we would've preferred it not have gotten to that point. Heed the warning, go for the fish, not the pork. The potatoes were also good though.

On a SUPER busy Valentines Day, my wife and I experienced a FANTASTIC dinner. Our server Mariah (sorry if I misspell your name) did an amazing job. Our glasses were never empty and the food was amazing. Easily the best BBQ ribs in Lexington. Also, if heaven had a taste, it’ll taste like the carrot cake you have.

The manager was awesome. Very nice kept making sure we were taking care of. The waiter was also on it. Never had to ask for anything because he was there with everything we needed. Food came out quickly and it’s always amazing.

If I didn’t have to give this place a star at all I wouldn’t…. Had a reservation made since Tuesday 1/16 for a party of 10 at 8pm on Saturday 1/20. Our party arrived before 8pm and waited 30 minutes until the manger said “she could seat us at a table that holds 8.” Trying to make it work, our party decided to try the table that was offered. The party of 10 was able to squeeze in but there is no way we could’ve ate comfortably. The manger was being passive aggressive/fake nice the entire time and “tried” her best to accommodate us. Apparently the party that was at our reserved table has been there for 3 1/2 hours and wouldn’t leave. Unfortunately our reservation was not respected at all but it was more than okay that another party gets to disrespect others time. Our party decided to leave and eat else where. I would’ve never given my money to such a poorly managed restaurant! Really wish our experience was different.

Went to have dinner with friends last night. The food was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The server was great and so was Richard, the host who brought us a bottle of wine. The prime rib was one of the best that I've had. All 6 of us had a great meal and agreed we needed to return soon. Oh, what do they put in that carrot cake, it is AMAZING. Great job!

Ordered the rotisserie chicken. Seasoned perfectly, good portion, mashed potatoes were excellent. Atmosphere is always good. My only complaint was the wait for tea refills.

We're often disappointed with aspects of carryout food here, this time, as well. We were on time for our pick up but we believe our fries and baked potatoes were either old or had been sitting for a long time; their tastes matched their looks. This is our favorite restaurant but it feels like carryout customers might not get the same quality of food as do sit down customers. I think we're done with carryout at J Alexander.

Everything was great. Food took a tad long, this time, but service was great and very attentive with bread brought to our table. The prime rib is soooo good! This is one of our favorite date night restaurants!

My husband and I have been anxiously awaiting the opening of the Lexington J Alexander's. We finally made it today for the prime rib. The first prime rib my husband received was not to his high standard and they replaced it right away with a excellent piece. The service was exceptional and very top notch. If you love mashed potatoes I recommend them! They are almost as good as my husband’s. I would completely recommend J Alexander's for a great dining experience. Update: I recently had the New York Strip and it was AMAZING! The flavor was outstanding cooked to perfection I couldn’t be happier! Always a wonderful meal at J Alexander’s.

My wife and I have been regular customers of J Alexanders for over ten years. I'm guessing we've eaten there 50 times. The Lexington Kentucky location is first class which is a product of the management team. We've never had a bad meal, the service is always good. We highly recommend J Alexanders in Jacksonville, Florida, Raleigh, NC and now Lexington Kentucky!

This was going to be our first time eating at this restaurant, but our last time dining together before we were to get married on Sunday (12/3/23) We went in very optimistic because of all the great things that we've heard about this restaurant. I definitely like the atmosphere of the restaurant, along with the decor. The host and our waitress was great. We decided We were going to do a light lunch, so nothing extremely heavy. When I seen the deviled eggs, immediately I wanted to try them. My fiance at the time (husband now) wanted to try the salmon dip. So we both order those to start us out. When the items came out, the presentation of both was very pretty. When we both took a bite, we were immediately disappointed. So we decided to try each other to make sure it just wasn't what we had. Still disappointed in the taste. I think I may have eaten one. Bite of the deviled egg and the same with the salmon dip. We were equally ? that the taste was terrible. Then our entrées came out and we were sure it would be better. He ordered ribs with broccoli, and I ordered chicken tenders and fries. Once again, we were both disappointed. The chicken tenders taste it like they were freezer burnt, and the fries were cold. The ribs that he had were decent but not great, and the broccoli was rubbery. The waitress came back to the table, saw the disappointment on our faces, she apologized several times, and we constantly told her it was not her fault. Needless to say, We left and went to Burgers and Shakes, and got our bellies full ($75 wasted.....??‍♀️??‍♀️ Not sure if we will go back and try again....
