It felt like eating in your friend’s living room, if your friend were an amazing chef. Comfortable and cozy, and the food was freshly cooked as we waited. Fluffiest pancakes and amazing biscuits. Great scrambled eggs and avocado toast. Definitely coming back!Kid-friendliness: There’s a Connect 4 and great menu options, and just generally a kind vibe.

I love albums and enjoyed looking at the collection on their wall. Vanilla chai latte with oat milk was great. I was from out of town and they had great local restaurant recommendations.

Coffee and breakfast are fantastic. Service is great. Staff are super friendly and you can tell they take pride in what they do. Recommend the pancakes and bacon. It’s a bit of a wait, but more than worth it!

Java Jukebox is a vibe! Mads is back there doing some kind of incantations because their French toast breakfast sandwich was magical! Definitely a third home kind of hangout.

The most fun, tasty breakfast/ lunch spot in Lexington! Mads is so amazing and makes the absolute best breakfast sandwich’s! We came in for an early breakfast and came right back for lunch! She made us feel like family as soon as we came in and was slinging food, drinks and balancing customers like a boss! We will be returning frequently! If you are in the area, near the Rupp convention center or just wanting a local spot that slaps, check them out! Thanks for a wonderful Sunday morning Mads!

It is very small; there is limited seating. The latte was good and the service fast and personable. Those ordering breakfast on the Sunday morning we visited had an extended wait. The overall vibe is young and cool. It is popular with a constant flow of patrons.

Nice small business. Friendly people. We were in a bit of a time crunch, so we got drinks and ready to go food. Yummy conman roll. Next time we are in the area, we will stop back and try the fresh cooked menu items.

After reading reviews, we decided to check out Java Jukebox. It's a cool little space off of Maxwell with parking nearby, which is always nice. We were going to enjoy a Sunday breakfast and waited probably 15 minutes for our food, as there was a line for to-go orders, which is always a promising sign! Upon walking in, the place smelled smoky from the food - there's no vent hood that I saw, just a prep and cook station on the side, so expect that going in. You'll walk out smelling like food. The service was fine. Not amazing, not bad. I would say they weren't overly friendly BUT they were hustling to prep the orders. Now for the food. I'm heartbroken to share that it was bad. As in, I've been sitting here trying to think of at least one positive to say about it and can't come up with anything at all. Nearly every item was significantly undercooked. I think this was a result of the person cooking that day and the rush for to-go orders and not representative of the usual quality, based on other people's awesome photos and rave reviews. Our food did not look like any of the other great photos I've seen posted. I wish I had taken some of our meal, but I think we were both just shocked. My partner got pancakes and scrambled eggs, and the eggs were questionable. They said there were crunchy bits in the eggs, perhaps shells, and they were concerned about eating them. Their stack of pancakes were also raw in the center and did not come with any butter. Just plain, raw pancakes, barely browned. I got the breakfast sampler/platter. I didn't have any crunchy bits in my eggs, but they were very watery (think like hotel scrambled eggs?). The sausage was very undercooked as well, with no browning on the patty. The biscuit and gravy was edible, and I did eat a few bites of that. The toast was just that - toast with no butter and a packet of jelly. Despite being really hungry, we barely touched our food because we couldn't even choke it down. Not sure if it was due to the rush or just a bad day from the cook (it happens), but we were very disappointed in the meal. I'll definitely come back and try the coffee though, as it's a cool little spot and I want them to succeed. Their February coffee specials looked delicious. Lexington needs these local places, and they deserve our support. Here's hoping this was just a one-off situation.

My husband and I are from Michigan. We were down visiting our daughter who attends the University of Kentucky. One morning we went out exploring when we happened to Google near by breakfast. Google brought up Java Jukebox. Oh boy, this place did not disappoint. The environment of the restaurant/ coffee house was amazing. It was super low key. Really good eats at amazingly affordable prices. The staff had my husband and I engaged in great conversations. My favorite part was the coffee and music. I was like walking into a scene of a cozy book. I loved this lil gem Google led us to.

Upon entering this establishment, I was greeted by 3 lovely ladies, all smiling and welcoming me. This is my first time here and might I say…. I will be returning. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Kind of what you might see in a modern, upscale diner. The walls are adorned with various musicians and actor/actresses. In the corner sits a lone microphone stand. (Karaoke?) Anyways it was time for food.I happily walked up to the counter and asked all of the hostesses for the recommendations on drinks and food. I was told that the blueberry muffin latte was a very hot item along with the French toast. I agreed with those recommendations, placed my order and went to sit down and wait.My latte came out first and when I say flavor!!!! The blueberry came shining through as if I dipped my muffin in a hot mug of coffee. Not overly sweet but a flavor to savor for later. Not long after sipping my brew, I was presented with a delicious platter of eggs, sausage, and French toast. My first bite into the eggs was very pleasing. Farm fresh taste with a nice cheesy backbone to complement them. When you decide to cook the cheese into the eggs… Congratulations for the taste and elevation of basic eggs to the next level.Next, it was time to try the sausage and it too was cooked to perfection. Nice bite and solid flavor of farm raised pork. After devouring the sides, it was time for the star. French toast!!! And as you might suspect, it too was a flavorful bite for your face. Soft brioche, sprinkled generously with powdered sugar and drizzled in maple syrup. There are no negatives in today’s review. Those ladies did their thang. And this earns them the top rating. Thank you Java Jukebox!!!!!

I had a Cortado and an Americano today and it was one of the best I have ever had. Highly recommend.

Stopped for a late breakfast - ordered the avocado toast with eggs and a iced Banana Nut Muffin latte. Everything was delicious. Perfectly made. Atmosphere was cozy. Rustic vibes. Server was kind and answered all of my many questions!

In town for the weekend and randomly stumbled on this little gem. Great atmosphere, friendly service & the food was awesome. I had avocado toast with eggs and would definitely order again. Grandkids had the French Toast and in their own words it was Cinnamonny deliciousness. My Americano was bold and black just the way I like it. If you're in the area definitely give this spot a visit.
