We had Martine's make an design the cake for our wedding. We customized it with lemon cake with apricot filling. It was absolutely PERFECTTT for our wedding theme and was refreshing for this spring day!!! They were an absolute pleasure to work with and was very patient with all my questions and concerns-- particularly since we did not have a wedding planner and were needing extra hands for getting things figured out. We reserved the cake for just us, bride and groom, but we did have some people sneek a bite.

This was our first visit to Martine’s Pastries, and it definitely won’t be our last. We ordered two breakfast croissants and two chocolate croissants—everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. We even picked up two extra chocolate croissants to take to my aunt and uncle, and they both texted later to say how much they enjoyed them. The service was great, too. The staff was friendly, smiling, and seemed to genuinely enjoy being there. A wonderful experience all around.

As you can clearly see I'm leaving a one-star review due to the fact that the staff being rude I love the food there I love the atmosphere there I love the craft there even spent about $40 there today got four cannolis and a $20 coffee cup but I've been in there twice now the staff has been rude I'm done I'll just get my stuff from Kennewick table from here on out

I was at Martines to pick up a pre-ordered cake . I had never been there before, first time ! While I waited to get the cake I read the Cafe menu and a chicken salad sandwich and half salad sounded great so when the young lady brought my cake , I ask to order this to go ! The menu didn't mention anything about onions on the sandwich or salad , I requested onions on both . The young lady said let me ask if we can do that for you ? I thought wow , it's onions . Anyway in just a few seconds she came back to inform me that she was told that they didn't have onions cut up, I said we'll that can only take a minute. I wait . She said no , they are not going to put onions on the salad or sandwich?? I said you're kidding right ? She said no I'm serious they are not going to put onions on you're order ?? Keep in mind this was around 1:15 pm and wasn't busy at the time . I told the young lady to cancel my order and I politely informed her I would not return as a customer in the future, it seems to me Martines has enough business and not interested in adding new customers.

I was invited to a friend's house and didn't want to show up empty handed. I passed by the pastry shop to get her something. The guy who was inside was so rude. He didn't even give me a chance to purchase anything. He said they were closed although it was 3:25 p.m. and they close at 4 p.m. The place looks nice and the food looks delicious. But, the treatment wasn't. Humanity and kindness are the most important traits of any shop, place or institution. If it's not there, then what's the point

We ordered our wedding cake from Martine's Pastries and LOVED it! Not only was the cake delicious, it was BEAUTIFUL. Many of our wedding guests didn't believe that you could eat the cake, haha. But they certainly did. The only flavor we had remaining was the "white cake" that was the largest piece. If we had known that everyone would love the pistachio cake we would've made that the largest piece. Chelsea was super easy to work with and adhered to our design requests. I highly recommend ordering from Martine's Pastries. BEST dessert place in Lexington!
