Everything was good, except the sweet tea tasted a little old. Otherwise , it was a good experience. We eat brunch at Merrick Inn at least once a month and sometimes twice per month, one of our favorites.
Presentation of food was blah. Had to ask for refills on coffee and water. Dirty plates sat on our table until the next course came. There were hardly any tables so not sure why nothing was taking care of. Order came out wrong. Overall very disappointing. About the only thing good was it was a beautiful day and sat outside
The best chicken and waffles! When we ask to share the order it is always perfectly presented. Our server, Sandy, is always attentive and friendly. She does an excellent job of making guest feel welcome. The only downside is that the restaurant has chosen to add a 3% credit card fee if you use a credit card. Excellent ambiance, service and food but put off by the CC fee.
