The atmosphere is quaint and nostalgic. They have top quality products for your home and kitchen, and top quality food for your tummy.

A real Gem tucked away in Lansdowne. I am 51 years old and went to Julius Marks Elementary around the corner. I had many an after school snack from here. Hadn't been by in some time. Was really impressed when My wife and i recently visited for sandwiches!

I used to go to the Mousetrap on a regular basis for years, 2015-2019. The quality used to be high. They used Boarshead turkey, and the tomato slices were a decent slice. I had a turkey sandwich today, and although the quantity of turkey was plentiful, it was a lesser quality meat. The tomato was nonexistent really. I found a half slice that was literally translucent it was sliced so thin! I didn’t think slicers could slice a tomato so thin! They’ve always had good business, not sure why they would reduce the quality so much! Too bad. I’ll probably never go back again.

The food is delicious, quick, and easy deli ordering. I hate to agree, but I have also experienced, every time I go, subpar interactions with staff that made me feel like they were extremely inconvenienced to be doing their job. A worker once huffed when I asked to leave a tip on my card.
My wife just got a sandwich for me. I am appalled. It doesn't have all the toppings I ordered, and they are written on the receipt. Lettuce is the number one topping, how do you miss that??!! it's so tiny I would called a finger sandwich. Cannot believe you charge $10 for it.

We were really disappointed with the reception we did not receive. My husband and I entered the quaint little shop and there were 3 younger woman behind the counter. Not one of them greeted us. As we were standing looking at the possibilities one finally in a very dry tone asked what we wanted. At this point I was already turned completely off. My husband is German and one of the things he has loved about always coming to America is the beautiful friendly service, which this place totally lacked. Of course he noticed this right away. I must say there was one young lady in the retail part of the store that asked did we need any help and was lovely. But my husband and I already had a bad taste in our mouth so we looked around for a few more minutes then left. Also the food in the cases did not look fresh or appetizing or at all. Everything had a rather dried out look to it. Sadly we were very disappoint with the whole experience.

Apparently, you need to call 24 hours in advance to make a DoorDash order. No restrictions on DoorDash in place. Didn't even provide the complete order; I just got a note saying they wouldn't accept an order in the future. It's such a shame since the food is fantastic. Got to love passive-aggressive customer service…

What wonderful staff, I would go back just for the staff alone! If you have never been here before, they will let you try a sample with a saltine before you order it. We had a variety of sandwiches and salads. The corned beef was the best, plentiful and soft. The pastrami wasn't enough meat to complete the sandwich experience, I would recommend asking for a double helping. The pimento cheese is award winning for a very good reason. The tuna salad is to die for as well. They have a very well stocked kitschy kitchen and home shop that is well curated. Will be back!
One note: I felt uncomfortable not being able to tip the absolutely lovely staff. Please add a CC option for tips!
