Christopher at the Mousetrap saved my life today. I’m supposed to get the pimiento cheese for a work function and the closed early today for a tea party. Christopher unlocked the door and let me in to buy the pimiento cheese (which is fantastic), thank you so much!!
As a Lexington native, the Mousetrap is as quintessentially Lexington as Keeneland in April or tailgating at Commonwealth Stadium on game day. The pimiento cheese is unmatched - nobody makes a pimiento cheese spread even close. Also, the beer cheese spread, the country ham sandwiches, and the Lobster bisque and white chicken chili are worth checking out. It's comfort food, but elevated. I was in there with my Grandma last week & couldn’t remember the type of sandwich I got there a year earlier & Johnathon was so kind & helpful! He was super sweet to my Grandma and had such a big smile on his face. I meant to leave a review earlier to say how sweet & kind he is & I NEVER leave reviews but I wanted to give him his flowers for being so kind to me & my Grandma .
