Sakura 12 Japanese Restaurant

I ordered through DoorDash, and the bag was properly sealed when it arrived, so this was clearly not a delivery issue.
As I was eating my meal and about to take a bite of rice, I noticed a metal screw mixed in with the food. I am extremely upset because my daughter was also eating it, and if I hadn’t seen it, she could have easily put it in her mouth not paying attention. The thought of what could have happened is honestly terrifying.

Finding a screw in food is a serious safety issue and completely unacceptable. I understand mistakes can happen, but this is something that could have caused a choking injury or much worse. I hope management takes this incident seriously and reviews their food preparation processes to ensure it never happens again.

This place has went downhill. They don't offer ginger sauce anymore & the food is just ok. I wouldn't recommend it.

Ordered beef and chicken Teriyaki. The beef was so tough I couldn't eat it. I mean like shoe leather tough. Disappointing to say the the least.

This used to be one of my favorite places. Husband and I went through the drive through last night. Prices are similar to how they used to be but portions feel smaller. I ordered takoyaki, sunomono salad and hubby got one of the cheapest sushi rolls. The takoyaki was cold and tasted like it was cooked in old oil, and the pieces of squid in them were so small I couldn't taste them. The sunomono salad tasted off. It didn't even look the same as it used to. Even hubby's basic sushi roll was gross. I don't like leaving bad reviews but I truly feel this place has gone downhill.

One of the two Sakura I know and this one has a “Kitchen Entree” menu which is significantly lower price than its sister restaurant Sakura 16 in Lawrenceburg. They’re about 30-40% off regular price. Depends on where you live it may be worth 10 extra minute drive to get about $8-$10 off for two entree.

Love this place. It’s my favorite local sushi and hibachi spot. However the recently switched the vendor or recipe for their crab ragoons and now they are hard and gross. Please switch back!!
