I have been eating at Sawyer's for years. They have the best burgers in the state in my opinion. I drive to Lexington specifically to eat here and Jim and his staff always greet my husband and I with warmth and cheerfulness.
LOVE the atmosphere, we visited during a busy lunch rush and the owner was behind the counter. Even though it was busy, he was still so friendly and personable with everyone. He had a quick but pleasant conversation with us and showed us where to get our toppings and condiments. The pickles must be homemade cause WOW they were perfect. Absolutely lovely visit and we will be back!
Got there at 10 am and had about a 30 minute wait (which was the estimated wait time when I checked in so no surprise). Very popular at breakfast, and for good reason. I got fried eggs, home fries, thick smoked bacon and biscuits with sausage gravy. My wife got the French toast and smoked bacon on the side.
