Very tasty! If you get a boil be prepared for the mess, but it's worth it! Reasonably priced menu.

Three stars because the seafood bread was amazing, and the corn on the cob was good. The crab legs were small and all the seafood was over cooked. It really was disappointing. Service was not great. Had to wait 10 minutes after eating to get our check took care of. I guess it’s a good place to go pig out but if you are looking for quality seafood probably should go somewhere else.

The crab legs are outstanding!

The king crab legs were so disappointing!!! They were over cooked badly. The shrimp were ok…peeling them is a hassle and most seafood places already do that. Onion rings were as flat. As a pancake! Just wasted money as far as I am concerned. We won’t be back!

I treated myself to lunch at Storming Crab today after receiving good news during a doctor’s visit today. I normally go to the other seafood boil restaurant, but since I was on this side of town, I thought I’d give it a try. I’m very glad I did! The food and service are excellent. Vivianne was my server and she took wonderful care of me. The food was very good, hot and fresh, and not overcooked or rubbery (snow crab and head off shrimp). The crab legs were a good size and the shrimp were huge. I chose crab house Cajun flavor and spice level hot, which really isn’t that hot - it’s just pleasantly spicy & flavorful. The complimentary seafood bread was also delicious. I will definitely be back and highly recommend Storming Crab. The only criticism I have is the appearance of the parking lot makes the restaurant seem rundown (weeds and trash), but the inside is fine and clean.

The King Crab was incredible. The seafood boil was authentic New Orleans style. Excellent service, no wait!

My favorite restaurant in Lexington! We come here for every special occasion. The food is always cooked perfectly and well seasoned. Staff are always friendly and the atmosphere is great. I don't feel judged for eating crab legs with my hands and just enjoying the meal 🤭

Celebrated my birthday here last Saturday and really loved it! The food was delectable, and our server was very attentive and friendly throughout the night.

My only takeaway was with one of the hostesses, which was honestly very disappointing. I understand it was a busy weekend, but we felt a bit unwelcome from the start. She seemed avoidant and uninterested in interacting with us. We had to give our phone number three times because she kept getting it wrong, and another hostess even had to repeat it for her. She also seemed very distracted and unattentive.

At the end, after around 40 mins waiting for a call, we were told they had called twice and that it went to voicemail, but we were just waiting in the parking lot the entire time and never received any calls. We almost gave up, and it took another 5–7 minutes before we were finally seated. Thankfully, we decided to stay because the food was lovely and our server truly made up for the experience.

Great and helpful staff. The only reason I give 4 stars is because the portion size is a little small for the price. I mean 50 bucks and I got 2 king crab legs and 1 potato.

Honestly this place is delicious, the music is bright and energetic, servers have amazing attitude and the wait was reasonable. The price was reasonable was well, seafood in central Ky can be hit or miss but this was outstanding and so fresh!! Will definitely be coming back to blow some cheese here.
