This is an incredible little Mexican restaurant and also, sort of a market, limited food items, a lot of crafts. The foot is authentic to the max. I grew up in CA and was at school in Tucson AZ, so have had a lot of Mexican food over the years. This is as good as any. The menu is limited and dependent on what the chef feels like cooking. Enchiladas, for example, are gone until summer, but the tamales are fantastic. Highly recommended.

This lady offers on her menu what she does best. She has amazing tacos, pico de gallo and chunky guacamole. Her hand-made tortillas, whether soft or crispy are exactly like what you would find in south TX, or Mexico in someone's home. The people are personable and your encounter with them is genuine and personal. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone who knows what authentic mexican is. Can’t understand why anyone would want to go to any of the Mexican restaurants in town. You don’t get free chips and salsa here, maybe that’s it. But what you do get are easily the best tamales I’ve ever had, and would probably same the same for tacos.
