I hate leaving a bad review for anywhere but here we are because I have no other option. My husband and I placed a $100 order for delivery from BDs website (not grubhud). We picked delivery option. The food was never delivered. It's been 3 hrs. My husband called the store manager and he said it was picked up by a 3rd party delivery service and to call Grubhub. We did, and Grubhub is saying there is no order with our information in their system (since we placed the order through BDs) and to call back to BDs. We did and the manager, Jeremy told my husband there is nothing we can do and we are out 100.00. The restaurant was unwilling to do anything to help us out. How is that right????

One team member said: "We tried BD's Mongolian Grill for the first time this weekend and it was such a fun lunch spot! You can build your own bowl and they have so many great options! Once you've selected your meal, you get to watch them cook it in front of you. The food was amazing and the service was also amazing! This is a must-try spot in Hamburg!"

Overall the service and food were mediocre. Our appetizer arrived after our meals. My drink, the Toasted Coconut Mule, was good but didn’t have the ingredient listed and it’s named after, “toasted shredded coconut”. One of our meals had very minimal “Mongolian sauce” and was dry and bland. I’ve been to other Mongolian grills and loved it. When I told the server my drink was missing a key ingredient she just said, “ok.” The portions were large. Overall I was underwhelmed. It was meh, I won’t be back.

We were first time customers. I will say the food tasted fantastic. We did not know about the make your own option before hand and decided to order from the menu as we were a little anxious. We waited about 40 minutes for our food and the portion size was comparable to scraps. The bed of rice was large and there were 10 pieces of chicken total. The smallest piece was the size of a penny and the biggest was the size of a quarter. This was true for both my meal and my wife's. We paid about $36 to leave the restaurant still starving. The menu portions should match the picture they show on their menu (giant bowl of rice with tons of meat) this is what I consider very dishonest. We will try it again as I believe the make your own bowl option will be a much better experience next time.

Buyer beware this company doesn't pay their vendors. I would not extend them any credit terms

After years of talking about it, my wife and I finally decided to try BD's this past weekend. I'm honestly kicking myself for every day that I wasted waiting to eat here. The restaurant features 3 large buffet style stations. Station 1 is every kind of meat you could want in a stir fry, station 2 is every possible vegetable, and station 3 is a vast array of sauces. You go through, fill a bowl, and then hand it off to a team of cooks to fry up your concoction. The meat and veggies were all of good quality, and fresh, and the array of sauces provides everything you could want as far as flavor profiles. The staff were quick and friendly. A couple of pro-tips though, look at the menu ahead of time and think things through a bit. My wife panicked with the variety of options, and wound up having a cooked dish of Yum Yum sauce (DO NOT cook yum yum, it's not a good flavor). Which brings me to pro-tip number 2. Spend the extra $4 and get "unlimited bowls". This will allow you to experiment a bit, or just straight up throw up an unpleasant experiment and start over.

I visited B. D.’s Mongolian Grill on a recent trip to Kentucky. Our group was seated in the back room and was given great service. We were greeted immediately upon entering and the staff was attentive and helpful. The food is good. You get a choice of a single bowl or unlimited. The single bowl was enough for me, but I filled it up pretty good. It is a buffet of sorts. You take a bowl and go through the buffet line. You put the raw ingredients in the bowl. The ingredients include: beef, shrimp, pork, chicken, fish, noodles, eggs, and vegetables. You also fill a cup with sauces and spices. After you have filled your bowl and sauce cup you go to the grill area and they cook it stir-fry-style on a large round grill. Our cooks put on a show for us and they were very good. The server also brought out rice and tortillas to go with the protein. The food tasted very good and was good quality. The only negative was that the restroom was a little worse for the wear. It had been cleaned, but there was a lot of evidence of damage in the restroom. It badly needs to be remodeled. With that as the only caveat I can highly recommend B. D.’s.

Stopped in with my family on Mother’s Day as we were driving through Lexington back to Cincinnati. The hostess told us the wait would be 15-20 mins. 35 mins later I went inside to ask how much longer. He got an attitude and went to ask the server. When he came back he said “The server apologizes but we can seat you in 15-20 mins.” So over an hour wait in total. We ended up leaving and I called to speak to the manager, Stephanie. Stephanie laughed saying “well I had a server walk out so I would imagine your wait would increase! Nobody wants to work so I’m doing everything with a bunch of 16 year old kids.” She then HUNG UP on me!! I would highly suggest senior management investigate this location and remove Stephanie from her role as a “manager”.

You tell them what you want and they stir fry it for you. Great taste and exceptional cooking. You won’t be disappointed.

Disappointed in this place . Service was bad, ... operated gimmicky place is all it is. The gimmick is not worth the quality of food and service.

The food was good and so was the service. However, the floors were not swept and neither was the restroom. We arrived 30 minutes after they opened.

My friend chose this place for her Bday Lunch. The service was outstanding from hosyess to the dude that grilled the food. Decor minimal, noise level low and medidumly priced.

I love Bd's and we have been to multiple locations, but I think this might be the best one yet. They have loads of options for the bowls, including potatoes (first time I've ever seen that at a bds), along with zucchini and 2 steak options. This one also seemed to have a couple more sauce options. Our waitress was great, food was great, everything was great. Would LOVE to have a Bd's in Huntington, Wv if you're looking for more franchise locations!!!

Create your own masterpieces ad bd's! You can order off the menu, but what is fun is to get a bowl (or two or three) of your creation. Lots of different options for protein (chicken, rib eye, beef tips, sausage, scallops, shrimp and more) and veggies (bok choy, broccoli, beans, sprouts, water chestnuts, carrots, cabbage and more) as well as many choices of sauces along with spices so you can jazz it up. They will bring you rice (white or brown) and tortillas on request. You then take your bowl of food over to the grill to be cooked right in front of you. The cooks can get excited cracking eggs and flipping food around. Ring the gong if you are happy with your service! They have a mailing list to join, and they will send you coupons for your birthday. It is the main reason for this visit. Unlimited bowls are probably the best bet if you are a big eater (or are with one). Unlimited also comes with soup and salad. You can also get one bowl with soup and salad.
