I ordered fettuccine Alfredo and Caesar salad but I was very confused why some of the reviewers think this is an Italian restaurant. Pasta was over cooked, pasta sauce had too much oil and cheese. Salad had too much cheese and less sauce. It was very disappointing so I wouldn’t recommend this place if you are looking for authentic level Italian food.

Our car broke down in London Kentucky and had the car towed to S&S Auto & Truck repair which by the way provided excellent service. But the owner of the Gondelier Restaurant was very nice by driving us to a different establishment or restaurant because he could not provide what we were in need for. Now that's a man with integrity, he didn't care he was loosing a sale all he cared about was helping a total stranger, and for that we really appreciate him. May God continue to bless you with such an amazing heart. We will see you again next time we are in that area. Thank you from the bottom of our heart.

I had the baked spaghetti for lunch today and it was excellent. The melted cheese on top was great.

The food is always really good. The staff are very nice. David is an especially nice young man and a great sever. The food is good Italian. The desserts are excellent. We got the trio and was enough for two plus a little to take home. They have the best bread sticks around.

If you are in or near London, KY and you want authentic Italian food then this is a must stop. the ambiance is very welcoming and smells like Italy. and the whole time listened to Frank Sinatra's hits. The food is excellent had the Chicken Alfredo Tortellini. There is something there for everyone and their famous cheese cakes and cakes. plenty of parking and the staff are very accommodating and friendly.

This place used to be pretty decent, years ago. We thought we’d try it out again because when I last went ..about 7 years ago the spanakopita was sooo good and the pasta was also good for the price.

We get there and immediately notice it’s very, very warm. I don’t know if the ac was broke or if that’s the normal temp but dear god if that’s an everyday thing I feel awful for the staff that have to work in that.

I ordered the manicotti with a ceaser salad and a spanakopita to split with my husband. Ceaser salad was weird, I’ve had a lot of ceaser dressings but this was not it, and the Parmesan cheese from a jar they used was too much, it was mostly that terrible “cheese”. Didn’t finish it.

Out comes the spanakopita and right off the bat I see this is not going to be good. It just looked old, and when I stuck my fork into it and the top layer just kinda slid into the gloopy spinach mixture I knew I was right. Phyllo dough is supposed to be flaky and kinda crispy…but this was just greasy and microwaved. I tried it anyway just to see if maybe I was being a visual snob and the taste was worse than it looked. Very sour and very bland and VERY OLD! You can tell that it had probably been in the fridge for a long time waiting for someone to order it. Spat out that bite (luckily).

So I cancelled my food. Husband still got his Greek pork dish. He ate and we paid and left. On the way back home, about a 35 min drive my husband says we have to pull over because his stomach is going nuts, and with his body language I knew he was serious, broke the speed limit and pulled into Eastway gas station.

He is still not feeling too great, told him he should have spit out that spanakopita like I had. He only took one bite but it was either that or that pork dish he got.

Needless to say we won’t be back. I don’t know if they switched owners or what happened but the place has gone to the dogs.

That being said, the manager was a really sweet woman and our servers and the others around were so nice:

EDIT FOR UPDATE:

I had to make an edit because me and my husband were sick all night and still are, so I’m pretty irritated right now. Thank for the food poisoning Gondolier! Do better!

I truly could not speak more highly of this place. We asked to sit by the window because we had to leave the car on and unlocked with our dog inside. The owner told us we could sit anywhere, as long as we were there. Our server, Timmy was extremely helpful and very attentive. The owner brought our food out himself, and then asked if we wanted any water to take outside to our dog. Our food was great, but the experience was even better. A business I will happily support!

2 adults and 2 kids your looking at spending 160.00 through 190.00. That has been the most expensive dine in I have ever ate at. Especially the place being just an Italian pizza joint. What's up with the three taxes. State federal and some unknown tax. Owner needs to invest in a good AC. It was too hot to stay and eat. A hot restaurant makes for a bad atmosphere. We boxed our food and left dissatisfied. Never again.
