server disappeared after we got our food to serve a large party so we weren't checked on. my chicken came out black and was clearly burnt so it should have never left the kitchen. they did fix it but I filled up.on my fries and didn't really want it...but was charged for it anyway. we ordered 3 of the same pizzas and all were terrible and different. the menu changed and was not impressive. the drinks were eh. I used to absolutely love this spot but won't be back again. too many restaurants to waste time on a bad one.
The meatballs are great. Liked the pepperoni pizza too!
The atmosphere and service were great. Can't say the same about the meal and cocktail. I had the BLT salad and the banana foster old-fashioned cocktail. The salad was a mess of sogginess with too much dressing, and the bacon was hard enough to perhaps chip a tooth... serious! The banana foster cocktail was all bourbon with absolutely no taste of banana. Had a cherry dropped down in it , but did not have the banana chips as advertised. The waitress told me they did not even have banana chips. I took a few sips and even tried watering the drink down but left it virtually untouched. Very disappointed in the quality of food and drink, especially since the price is high. I paid and left the appropriate tip because our service was good, but I do not plan on coming back.
Cool restaurant, good service, good food.

Amazing service! The manager our waitress and the bartender were all very friendly. I’ll be sure to visit again next time I come to Louisville!

As far as food and service goes, don’t expect to be surprised. Drinks took a very long time, server food not ask for steak temps, server did not check in after food arrived, one entree came out wrong, server didn’t not offer boxes at the end of the meal. Not surprised there was only a handful of tables in on a Saturday night at a prime time. 2 stars for ambiance, the only impressive thing about the place.

Can't say anything about the food my wife says it's not good she's been here before That's why we haven't eaten here but the drinks are excellent and the rooftop bars nice at sunset
Editing my review The outside bar does short pores would not recommend it Daniel inside bar is very good does not short poor makes excellent old fashions and cranberry and Tito's vodka The artichoke dip and muscles combined is a very good dip
I would like to give a higher review but over time it is not worth it The outside bar is worth seeing on a good sunset night Don't recommend an outside bar just an idea spent over $600 here not worth it

This is to caution brides who want their wedding here. I’ve eaten here before and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I messaged their events coordinator to ask about hosting my wedding on their rooftop. Initially they were responsive in emailing me and calling back. On our phone call she told me they would be getting a new catering menu in a month or so and that I can book after that to make sure the food is what we want. I never got that updated menu. The deadline kept moving and eventually I just gave up.
The location and setting were beautiful. Food was good, but a limited menu that you couldn’t customize. The service was terrible, management had the place grossly understaffed. Waited over 30 mins for someone to take our drink order, many people didn’t even have menus. Waited over 1 hour for waiter to get our check and cash it out. Overall we where there for over 2 hours, with limited to no actual service.

The food was terrible, and the service was not great. When we needed something from our waitress, her response was always I knew you needed something else. She forgot to put in our appetizer, and my husband had to refill his own water.
Delicious food and great service
A cool place to hangout and catch a drink on the rooftop! Bartenders weren’t the best as it wasn’t busy, service was slow, and couldn’t make certain drinks. We didn’t have any food but I will say it all looked and sounded good!

8up Elevated Drinkery & Kitchen in Louisville is a hidden gem, perfect for those seeking a unique rooftop bar experience. This rabbit hole find offered a stunning view and a cozy ambiance, making it the ideal spot for nightcaps.
We savored a Banana Foster Old Fashioned, its rich, caramel notes perfectly complementing the classic bourbon, and a Manhattan that was a masterclass in mixology. As we enjoyed our expertly crafted drinks, a lightning storm lit up the night sky, providing a breathtaking natural show from the rooftop patio.
8up's combination of sophisticated cocktails and panoramic views creates an unforgettable evening. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking to elevate their night out in Louisville.
