When staying at the Galt House, the Addis Grill is a short walk away for a nice lunch. I enjoyed the Grilled Chicken Salad with fresh greens and loaded with tender slices of chicken. Large portions. Friendly owner anxious for us to enjoy our meals. My friends were more adventurous and raved over their Mediterranean dishes.

Everyone I've brought here has been delighted by it.More than the food, we (my church friends and I) come here on Sundays for the ritual of the thing. It's become a kind of home away from home! That's because this place is not just authentically Ethiopian (actually, how would I know if it were authentic or not!) it's authentically human. It's family, it's hospitality, it's art and craft, it's OLD stuff. No it's not perfect; of course not. That's why we couldn't help falling in love. Go say hi to Mr. Werku. Share the beef kitfo; it's great-big and mighty delicious, but don't forget to give your partner a heads-up: the ground beef is cooked *lightly*. After your meal, pass around a soothing clay pot of Ethiopian coffee and revel at the fact your actually in Kentucky.

food was good but service was ATROCIOUS. called in order for pick up & they told me to come “any time.” I told them I’d be there in 20 mins. 20 mins later I got there and they hadn’t even written my order down so waited an additional 20 mins for the food.**also don’t hit the “call” button on Google as it calls a random persons cell phone (does not call the restaurant).

I've been a loyal, regular customer for about a year. Today I ordered takeout through Doordash, and when I went to pick up my food, the owner told me he doesn't work with Doordash. I waited at the register about 15 minutes to see if they would offer me a solution or take my order. All he said was to cancel my order on Doordash. They did not serve me. It is terrible business to treat a loyal customer like this.
