Bunch of hoodlums that grew up without fathers that don't know how to act right. Needs to be down past 15th Street not in the Highlands.

Worn Out

This place was just on wave3 news about the issues that this place brings! Murders, shootings, assaults and pure chaos!

I wanted to be proud of this diverse establishment. I wanted to dance there and love it. But instead it seems to cater to gunmen and gangsters. Please shut this business down, or take some drastic measures to improve the situation.

This place is terrible. There have been 3 murders and 7 shooting in the neighborhood by the patrons of this club. Also, there are always broken bottles outside and other kinds of litter around because of this club and noise into the morning from the club-goers shouting and being rowdy.

If you are looking for a nightlife experience that transcends boundaries and brings people together, look no further than AFROKANZA LOUNGEI can truely give an honest remark about this place base on my experience from over the years since its opening.AFROKANZA LOUNGE based in a neighborhood that has historically struggled to embrace diversity, it boldly stands as a beacon from the moment you step inside, atmosphere and interior design is a testament of African heritage, royalty and style as it gold plated walls and comfortable seating areas brings the place alive with sounds of Afrobeats, Reggae, hip hoop, and R&B. This black owned establishment is truely different, clean and unique so why all these negativity and racist comments to make them run out !!But it’s the night life experience that frankly sets it apart from an extensive selection of beer, cocktails, sprits and great deals on the wines I was fond by their house cocktails enjoying every sip into the night lounging with friends blown away by their exceptional bottle delivery service. It’s giving the vibes you need to keep your soul alive!!?I greatly miss most of their dishes as it has evolved its menu over the years experimenting with different cuisines, flavors and techniques infusing the African-Caribbean cuisine to the American soul food . I feel it’s a black owned establishment that has a culinary journey marked by resilience, perseverance and commitment to excellence. However i really miss their tacos, Jellof rice, jerk chicken and suya combo it was heaven. The most remarkable thing about AFROKANZA LOUNGE is the sense of unity and belonging that it fosters within our people and the community as well through its food and music. As it is a place where people from all walks of life can come together to celebrate their differences and find a common ground .

We called them on the way to ask them about the prices and they said girls would get in for free and men would pay $20 since we had a huge party including a popular African artist. When we got there, they changed the prices when we were checking in and said everyone was going to have to pay. It is Halloween weekend, no one is gonna be at an Afrobeat a club when there’s Halloween parties going on everywhere. We had a huge party for them ready to pay for drinks and promote the location with the artist that was visiting but they chose pride and disinformation over service. I love my people but afrokanza needs some re-inventing.

This establishment has brought great crime (July 31st, 2023 Murder) to our Bonnycastle neighborhood, and needs to move to a more appropriate part of Louisville to conduct it's 3am business. This is not a rave/club community, and we residents want your business gone. We have young children and senior citizens in this neighborhood, that don't need to fear for their lives, every time your doors are open.

I paid 20 dollars to get into here and spent over $100 in alcohol. I went outside for less than 5 minutes and they tried to charge me with another $20 for re entry but they gave me a wrist band. What was the point of the wrist band then?? I won’t be back to this place they are too money hungry. I would have came back in and spend another 40/50 dollars in alcohol so they are really screwing themselves in the end.
