We stopped here once we went to Angel’s Envy because they were closed. The bartender was so nice and gave some really good advice on a bourbon. He wasn’t too busy so he was waiting on tables while bartending. Nice place, good cocktails and service
If you’re visiting Louisville and looking for a local brewery, go here. It’s in perfect location downtown close walk to anything. Very large space with football games on too if you want to watch sports. 10/10
Wonderful establishment
Have not had good food here yet. Loaded fries were super salty, bacon on top was all fat. Wings were ok, patty melt is a reuben. ..Tasted ok, but a lot more bread than burger. Prices were kind of high. Beers were good. Recommended just going there for beers.
We went for lunch. Their beer menu is on a large TV screen showing untapped. Service was super friendly and attentive. They will give you tastings. They are located in a stadium but have both outside and I side seats.
I ended up having a buffalo chicken wrap because they no longer serve pulled pork/brisket. Disappointed but the wrap was awesome and fresh. My friend had a burger and was OK. Things have changed with the times though. Considering, it was a good experience. Citra Ass Down Beer was good.
Went to Louisville to coach. Got done on day one and had time to kill and wanted a beer. We walked from our hotel to the location. Great outdoor patio area. Got some appetizers and craft beer. Really good service and great atmosphere. I recommend this place definitely
I was hoping for some bbq, but the menu is only burgers and hot dogs. Having said that, both the burgers and hot dogs are good. Fries are as well. Onion rings dramatically overpriced. They get a nick for that, and for misuse the smokehouse label.
I really liked this place, burgers were good, big pretzel was okay. Our server Justin was great, friendly told us what was good on the menu and was knowledgeable about the beer.
We arrived and were surprised that it wasn't very busy, but we learned why. The server was not very friendly and the food was average. We tried the brisket nachos and those were slightly warm and were so very soggy. I would suggest going here for a drink as the inside is cool, but skip the meals, so much better food in the area.

Our server, Sheryl, was excellent! She was very attentive and friendly. However, the food was just “meh”. We started with the pork nachos which sounded amazing on the menu, however, when I read they were built on BBQ chips, I was expecting House made bbq chips, not bbq potato chips from a bag. So they got soggy immediately and were just not standing up to all the toppings. I love me some shrimp and grits, but theirs were very disappointing! My husband’s brisket sandwich was very dry. So summed up, great service, but barely ok food.
We stopped here for drinks. They have a nice draft list with some creative beer names. We sat outside at some tables and enjoyed the nice evening weather.
Grabbed dinner here after an Angel's Envy tour after hearing them recommend it to a few other people. Husband loved his brisket (which is high praise coming from him) and I enjoyed my brisket and potato salad as well. Beers were good and service was friendly. We got in right before trivia started on Thursday at 7pm which was a nice addition to the evening.
Visited on a Friday afternoon with my husband, in September 2022. We were seated immediately which was nice. We sat inside, but there is a lot of outdoor shaded seating as well. My husband enjoyed his old fashioned. I enjoyed my slushy style peach drink which was not listed on the menu, but I saw the slushy machine behind the bar and asked about it. It was delicious. The Kentucky Burgoo stew was fantastic, a spicy mix of pork, brisket, turkey, and veggies. I also had the chopped salad topped with pulled chicken. The salad itself was great, but the green goddess dressing was a bit blah, so I didn't enjoy it as much as I had hoped. Also, the menu does not list that you can top the salads with meat, so you need to ask. Thel bacon bits on the salad were very unique, and tasty, shaped in little cubes. They stood out to me so were worth mentioning. My husband ordered the brisket sandwich and fries which he said he enjoyed. I snuck a taste of his fries and they were phenomenal. Like, very good. Wish I had ordered a plate of them actually. Something to note about paying your bill, was that the waitress did not deliver a printed bill. She just comes to the table with her hand held payment machine, tells you how much your bill is, then you pay and enter the tip on the machine. Wasn't a huge deal for us, but if you are the type who likes to look at your bill before you pay, or think for a few moments about how much you want to tip, etc, you might not like that setup. Overall we enjoyed our drinks and dinner and would return.
Stopped in to get a quick snack before heading into a tour at Angel's Envy. Our server was excellent! She was super friendly, made good suggestions and was very efficient. Good food too! Grilled romaine salad, pulled pork and derby pie! Yum!
